Charon had gotten the call to come and pick up a body, and even though he was driving a van instead of a boat nowadays, it was the same as ever it had been. He had really never known anything else, and he'd long ago made peace with his lot in life.
He drove around back and parked, getting out and letting the cold wind blow his hair and coat around. He felt the woman before he saw her, and gave her a nod in return. He didn't want any trouble, and if this place was under her protection or something like that, he just wanted to collect the body peacefully and leave.
"Hi," he said. "I'm here to pick up a body, do you know where I have to go?"
