It was nice to be out of the hospital as well as being out of his own home. It was even better than he could spend time with Kat. He had abandoned his wheelchair within the first day of being released even though his doctors had advised him not to. It just frustrated him and he would rather be in pain than be frustrated. He had still had to take a taxi because driving when there was a still-healing hole through him was not a brilliant idea.
He smiled at Kat and leaned down (carefully) to kiss her before moving inside. "You look beautiful." He had done his best to look nice as well, and he had even put on a little cologne. "I brought some snacks and your Christmas presents," he said, handing over the bag he probably shouldn't have been carrying.
