Greed gave the retreating back of Gabe a fake wave. "Goodnight, goodbye, have sweet dreams." That deceitful sugar in his voice ended with the baring of his teeth. The tree would wake up in the morning with some more missing items, Greed would not go empty handed.
He didn't even flinch, arms outstretched on the back of the sofa when Zoe dived into his arms. He was starting to respect this giant ass storm more and more.
