She laced her fingers with his and looked at him. "Yes, maybe God does give you nothing more then you can bear, but I don't think that's supposed to be a challenge, to put as much on you. To the point you can't bear it. God is love, right? Not working yourself into the grounds."
She shook her head, "there are others around Anthony. Let them help. It's not just you against the world you know." She watched her son with obvious worry in her eyes, "believe me, reaching the level of Poseidon is hard and you're not there, but he needs someone to look up to. I won't have him turn into that monster."
She made a face, "I never want to have that happen to me by the way. I don't think I could endure that. It's hard enough dating a Saint. Talking to God may just get me to implode." She nodded, "alright, but I want to see proof. You come home every day and eat dinner with us. You become a part of this family, not just an outsider.
