They'd just gotten power back, which made her happy because now she worried less about Bernie. She'd exhausted every option she had in sending him to people with power so he wouldn't catch a cold. He didn't seem to be too bothered by it all, mostly just happy he could watch television again.
She frowned at the knock and opened it, surprised to see Anthony. She'd kept the letter, but she wasn't about to chase after him. Her time was limited, and she couldn't keep waiting.
"Hey stranger," she leaned against the door and smiled. "Figured you'd lost our address. Everything work out then?" She was, pointedly so, not inviting him in. She was more tired then upset about all this.
