He unlocked the door and let them both inside, hurrying up the stairs to unlock his office. "I hear you on that," he agreed. "It warms me down to my bones on cold days. Caffeine keeps me awake. And I'm doing well. Things are...comfortable."
He blinked at the question, which was definitely not what he'd been expecting. "Veronica? She's good. I kept trying to call her when everything went down last weekend, but my phone crapped out. So I just spent most of the weekend worrying. Fun times were not had."
