Klymene drew back to meet his eyes, looking at him seriously. "I can't," Klymene agreed, and there was guilt in her tone, a long, old guilt. "But I'm here now, and I will do everything I can to protect you. You're my son." Klymene laid a hand against his cheek. "There's never been anything I wouldn't do for you."
