She closed her eyes to the feel of blood on her skin and sighed. She was used to him, it was that or going down the deep end, but she still didn't like the blood. But she pretended not to notice. Her job was to calm him down.
She took his hand and made him look at her. "Love, it's me alright?" Gently she checked his arms and could make a guess what he'd been doing during these dark nights, and part of her did feel pity on whomever he'd dragged down into his spiral. But there was nothing to be done about it.
"Let's get you cleaned up." Gently she went to tug him into the bathroom where she could run him a bath.
