Things had gotten considerably better between her and the Baron. That didn't mean she didn't feel awkward, mainly because she still couldn't help feeling responsible for harming him. It wasn't something she had wanted to do, but at the time she had enjoyed saying such horrible things to him. Of course, he was also the young version of himself. The young, incredibly arrogant version. It made her stop and wonder if she had picked up that trait.
"Oh thank God," was her response. "Hold on, I have to move some things from the door first." She had pushed her living room furniture against the front door so it took her a few minutes to frantically move everything out of the way. She didn't bother putting it all back how it was before because it really didn't matter. She pulled her duffel over her shoulder and opened the door. She had packed some clothes because she didn't know how long she'd be gone from her apartment. Before she could stop herself, she found herself hugging him tightly. There was a comfort in having him around now.
