"Neither do I, but it will pass," he reassured her. They just had to get back to Hypnos and the others. Then he could check on everyone to make sure things were as safe and peaceful as possible. They weren't far, so the trek wouldn't take too long. This was something that Phantasos didn't particularly like, but his dark side was fighting to get out. Not yet. Wait until I'm alone.
"I bet," he said with a slight laugh in his voice. It wasn't comical, but he still couldn't help it. "There's a pretty good chance you have been, knowing the Veil. It can confuse you even when you think you're perfectly fine. Mother has an... interesting sense of humor," he said darkly. "Anyway, we're not far. Just a couple blocks this way and we'll be there," he said, pointing ahead. "I can carry you if you don't have the strength to walk anymore. I don't mind," he added, though continued walking because they shouldn't stay in one place for any amount of time.
