Terpsichore couldn't help it, her breath hitched a tiny bit. "Then I'll need that one back," she said softly, gently extracting her leg from his grasp. She made her way to the other side of the stage, making a running start. She pushed off from the stage, flying into the air and reaching out for the tips of her pointe shoes. Her fingers skimmed the rough, worn silk of the toes, and she seemed to hang in the air for a moment before landing again.
Moving sinuously from one position to the next, she leapt into a revoltade, landing with a very slight thud, before going straight into a cabriole. It could be exhausting at times, doing so many jumps without pause, but Terpsichore lived to dance and perform, even if her audience consisted of one, or even if there was no one there at all.
