Psyche's jaw dropped at the display in front of her. A grown man, sobbing in her daughter's closet. What was the world coming to? All she was doing was defending her home. This guy had come in unwelcome.
But the moment she heard Eros' name she stopped moving. "Eros?" she asked in bewilderment. "Why on earth would you-" And then it dawned on her. That was why she recognized his face. It was one she hadn't seen personally in a very, very long time. "Anteros?" she asked in a very calm voice, a stark contrast to her previously demanding tone.
Realizing she was still holding the rolling pin, she put her arm down and rolled it out into the hall. Her hands were raised to show she meant no harm. She suddenly felt very bad about everything that had just happened, but really, who wouldn't freak out about an unexpected naked man lounging around in their home?
She settled down on her knees and looked past the fact that he was still very much naked. "Anteros? It's me, Psyche. I didn't realize it was you. I thought you were an intruder. Are you alright?"
