"He's like...sunshine and fluff and love, with paws," Rhode said, holding out her hand for Kratos to shake. "Good boy," she said, scratching his ears again. "Oh my god, when I move into a real house, I want one of these." She rubbed a hand over Hekuba's neck, just so the other dog wouldn't feel left out. It was sort of nice, her just sitting and watching and Kratos climbing onto her lap.
"I don't think I've ever met Kratos, but then again, Dad isn't a huge fan of Titans, so no big surprise there." She nodded as Hecate repeated her words. Hecate might be a little spooky, but she'd always been kind to Rhode, and she had some pretty wicked tricks up her sleeves.
"I always get this pressure in the back of my head when there's one nearby," she said. "Then it's just a matter of finding them. But you'd probably know better than me."
Whoa, she definitely hadn't been expecting the snakes. She rested a hand on Kratos' head, feeling Hecate's fingers turn cold in her own. The words slid in her ears and out again, words charged with power older than almost anything.
