Who: Achilles [Narrative]</span> What: The more Hybris digs her claws in, Achilles spirals out of control When: Monday morning, November 22, 2010 Where: Achilles apartment
Achilles was not a fearful man, he never had been, always pushing himself past any normal limits to achieve what was set in front of him. He demanded control even when the odds were against him. Right now what control he had was slipping by the day. At night he heard her words, when he awoke he heard her words, drilling into his psyche faster than he could admit to. He put up one hell of a fight, Hybris was not getting the reigns on him quite as fast as she’d expected.
There was a fearfulness however of what he could do. While he could still have a grasp on his mind pushing those he loved the most away was the best way to keep them severed ties and not a pile of bodies on his conscious when he came out of this.
If he came out of this.
He was intoxicated with every movement, whisper and word she gave him, drunk off her ability to make him ferocious and without a care to the aftermath. She was using and twisting that passion, turning it into something ugly and without remorse. He was every bit as uncaring as his own son whom he’d rejected for that very inhumane lack of compassion.
Hybris had an upper hand on him now than those years ago in Troy. This time death was not an option. All that he had built for himself, his success was being plucked away by her seductive kiss and those slender fingers against his skin. There was no escape to this madness now, he was starting to succumb to her whims, losing what fight he had left.
