Who: Robin Hood and Marian
What: Robin took a hop, skip and jump across the states to see his beloved lil' redheaded lass
Where: California
Warnings: None
Note: Reposted as a favour
Marian may have been a feisty girl, could boot any old dog on their rear and keep going with a sword in her hand, but she'd always be someone Robin felt the need to take care of. It was the time, the era they'd come from. Men did the hard labor, fighting and defending a woman's honor. He was the swashbuckling hero wasn't he? Women sat at home with crochet and cooking. Times had long since changed, and Marian was a spitfire even then.
In a drunken haze he'd piddled around on the net, needing no better excuse than seeing her injury post to pull out his wallet and credit card to fly to her side. It got her away from Gisborne at any case to be over in California. A chance for them to chit chat and catch up without Mr. Doom and Gloom hanging around. When Gisborne sniffed around Robin reverted to childish boy hero that made fun of his opponents rather than fight them.
He arrived to her set with a giant grin winning the looks of a few extras, ladies of course, where hence he gave a passing wave and flirty twinkle of his eyes. Marian didn't even have a clue he'd be there. He was a master of disguises and surprises.

The time away had been both relieving and stressful at the same time. Relieving because she didn't have all those immortals in New York to worry about. And stressful because her job was full of stress. All day. Every day. That's simply how it was. If she wasn't on set she was working out moves and if she was on set she was making she she didn't miss a move. Being a professional didn't mean being perfect.
She had proven to the director that she could heal up quickly and that she was strong enough to keep going. And this was only about a week and a half after her accident. Another double had made a mistake which had resulted in Marian falling to the floor, right onto her wrist. She had played it as nothing more than a twisted wrist, despite what x-rays might have said. And when she returned one day without a sling or a cast everyone had been surprised. She did have a reputation of healing fast.
However, fifteen minutes before the days shoot was over she felt that familiar pang. It wasn't impossible for another immortal to be in the general area but up until then she hadn't sensed anyone else. The space she was confined to was just a small area of San Francisco, with her hotel just down the street from where she was doing work. So it surprised her to suddenly feel someone else and it was her own fault when she faulted a little to look around.

Stubborn woman, that's what she was. Yet, at the moment she turned to look he flashed her an earnest grin. "My, my, aren't you a sight," he greeted with the tip of his non-existent hat and a bow.
"How is the lady?" he asked approaching though there were some wary eyes. Who was this overly charming guy in a casual green t-shirt and jeans?
He couldn't help but beam, though cautiously he took hold of her uninjured hand and kissed the surface.

Thank the gods they had finished filming, otherwise she might have caused even more of a disturbance. Something could have gone wrong with even just one person distracted. She was astounded by Robin's sudden presence. He was supposed to be in New York. But she wasn't sorry to see him. In fact, she looked pleased.
"I'm well enough. We're just finishing here." She ignored some looks, but even those lasted for a short time. The others were curious, but they didn't gawk.
She smiled fondly. Always her Robin. And it still made her swoon. An arm took hold of one of his, "Let's get out of here before anyone asks questions."

He took her arm as if he were escorting a lady from a formal or timely event. Though he had to admit, the thing he missed most of the olden days was getting to carry around a sword. Not so much anymore unless they were on a set like this one.
"Good, because I was going to kidnap you either way. Drag you off to some forest and make you my captive!" He laughed moving his arm and sliding his hand into hers while he observed the surroundings.
"So what are you working on here? What's the story?"

He could probably carry around one of the fake swords they had lying around somewhere. If they happened to pass by one. They probably even had some hokey Robin Hood costumes somewhere.
"Oh well, in that case it's good I came willingly. I'd hate to get hurt because I refused to go with you." Of course she knew he would never hurt her, but playing along was more fun.
She glanced around, "It's top secret. You'll see previews in a few months." She was partly joking, but she had signed a confidentiality agreement.

"I'd have to tie you up if you didn't!" There was a twinkle in his eye as he said that trying to hold a straight face, but he let out a hearty laugh.
"But I like finding out secrets. It's my specialty," He walked idly for a while before they were more out of sight before pulling her arm into a brisk run. He turned during that run, facing her and stopping so she'd land against him.
"Hi," he said softly, with a grin suddenly feeling like the young lover's they'd once been in the forest. He'd missed her, how he'd missed her.
