Amphitrite/Achilles/Thetis/Triton
Amphitrite (Open to Thetis/Triton/ Achilles/Perseus - not a good day for her) [info]sea_born 2011-06-26 01:32 pm UTC (link) Track This Of all the things Amphitrite wanted to do, going to this party wasn't one of them. She still wore the purple dress as she had planned, but apart from that she very obviously did not want to be there. She was still on edge and wanted very much not to be anywhere near Zeus right now. She wasn't sure she could hold it together very long and only intended to stay as long as her emotions would bear with her.
She had chosen what seemed to be the most secluded corner she could find and simply sat. It seemed the best option. She approached no one and simply sat there, legs crossed and hands folded in her lap completely silent. Lovely though she looked, she was a mess.

[info]chink_in_armor 2011-06-26 06:07 pm UTC (link) Track This Achilles had appeared with his mother on his arm, proud and stoic as ever. Achilles was used to such formal events and wore a suit that both made him look sharp and presentable. It looked good against his strong jawline and blonde hair.
As they entered, though Amphitrite had huddled herself away in the corner he took notice of that forlorn look as if she had been dragged here. There were a few gods and other immortals Achilles himself would rather distance himself from lest his temper went off. He had also heard enough from his mother that something wasn't right with the Earthshaker, and it looked as if he'd failed to show. Letting go of his mother's arm he made the walk toward the sea queen.
He took a seat beside her offering some company. "Good evening," he announced properly, his mother had raised him right.

[info]sea_born 2011-06-26 06:35 pm UTC (link) Track This Amphitrite had failed to take a good look at whoever it was that had decided to sit next to her. In fact, she wasn't at all interested in much of anyone's company the last few days. She hadn't even talked with her own sister yet. She was still in the grieving process, even if she knew it would all be better eventually.
A hand raised to squeeze the bridge of her nose momentarily, "Please don't take this the wrong way, but I am not in the best of states to entertain in any way." That was when she finally looked at the person who had come over.
Her expression didn't change but something in her eyes suggested she was fine with this. "Ah, hello nephew. Forgive me, but right now I'm simply not good company. You can stay or go join the soon-to-be-drunkenness." Because that was more than likely in this setting.

[info]argyropeza 2011-06-26 06:47 pm UTC (link) Track This Clad in silver, her hair pinned back, Thetis moved through the party with an easy grace. She was not frightened of the gods in attendance, having faced down most of them at least once in the past. But that was not her concern right now. Amphitrite looked positively gloomy, and she followed her son over to where her sister was seated, settling in on the other side.
"Well, what's family for, if not to be supportive even when we are bad company?" she asked with a small smile. She peered at her sister. "How are you this evening?"

[info]chink_in_armor 2011-06-26 09:19 pm UTC (link) Track This Achilles sat by her quietly observing her once she recognized him. "Forgive me, Aunt, but I am not one for alcoholic substance at events such as this." He had his occasional wine glass, but anything more was a useless vice and Achilles would not condone himself in such behavior.
"If you should like to talk, I will be an ear." Be it that he understood the nature of grief, and while he'd not met his aunt but few times, his mother thought highly of her, therefore Achilles would be civil.
