Who: Oedipus and Jocasta What: A DATE OMG When: Friday, June 24th [Backdated] Where: Greek restaurant/Jocasta's ? Warning: TBA (but probably all the stuff they don't want to know about later)
All the red flags should have been waving in front of him, but he couldn't see them. A married woman, an older woman (gorgeous at that), and he'd initiated a date. He had. As if some bubble of courage came up and he was the braver king he'd been before. He hadn't felt that in a long time. Something about Joanne made him nervous and proud all at the same time. He scarcely understood it, and his curiosity would kick him in the nuts later. For now, he was just going to overcome his fears and take an older woman out for dinner.
Dinner. That was safe wasn't it?
As long as he stayed away from the wine and other alcoholic substance he felt he could hold on to his control. He was in control of this, not years of Freud's theories and ideals. It's what made him hold his head up high as he walked into the restaurant.

[info]theoriginalmilf 2011-06-28 10:41 pm (local) (link) Track This Jocasta was nervous and excited, perhaps even more so than any date she'd been on before. There was something completely delicious about this young man and Jocasta knew only that she had to have him. Over the years she'd had so many young lovers that most of them were forgotten blurs, and Rex would likely just be another of those. Even if it turned into something, he'd get older and Jocasta would lose interest within the year. It was how she was.
Sitting in the restaurant in her hot pink dress, Jocasta kept catching her reflection in the mirror across from her and trying to decide if she looked alright. Perhaps she should have gone more dressy? Maybe less colour? Should she have worn her hair down and loose instead of this soft updo?
When she saw Rex though she stopped fussing and stood with a smile that was surprisingly shy.

[info]a_freudian_slip 2011-06-29 12:19 am (local) (link) Track This He didn't look as nearly stunning as her, sticking out like the sore thumb he was in his usual dark attire. She however was bright and luminescent even which made him run a hand over the front of his shirt as if all eyes were on him now. Compared to her he felt underdressed, but not nearly as nervous as he thought he'd be.
She on the other hand seemed more timid than the day they'd met at the shop. What would usually come off as a nervous sarcasm actually seemed more like a proper greeting as he said her name and held out a hand. The spark should have easily made him cringe but that side of him seemed blocked.

[info]theoriginalmilf 2011-06-30 11:02 am (local) (link) Track This When their hands touched, Jocasta felt her breath catch in her throat. A catch that was still there when she said, "I'm glad you came." She was glad, more than she had thought she would be.
I belong with you, she thought as she looked into his eyes. It was silly to feel so overwhelmed by some man like this, but she couldn't help it.

[info]a_freudian_slip 2011-06-30 11:11 am (local) (link) Track This It was like a rush of air slapping him in the face when they shook hands, not quite a firework but damn near close. He cleared his throat looking for words suddenly a little paranoid at how much he wanted to be here after that.
She looked into his eyes and for a moment they felt clearer than they ever did. The lighting in this place was intense which usually flared up his eyesight as it was timid to these heavy lights and sun. Her gaze seemed to block it and she held it there for some time before he ushered a hand out and held her seat for her to take before he sat himself.
"Haven't been waiting too long," he shook his head in a no fashion, "have you?" There wasn't even an ounce of nervousness in his voice.
What in the almighty Gods was going on?

[info]theoriginalmilf 2011-06-30 11:21 am (local) (link) Track This "No," Jocasta said with a warm smile as they sat, her eyes finding his again. "Not long at all." Then she added, "I would have been happy to wait longer."
She shook her head and dropped her gaze. "I'm coming across desperate, aren't I? I'm just very interested in you."

[info]a_freudian_slip 2011-06-30 11:27 am (local) (link) Track This That's when his hand moved to thread through his hair and hang on the back of his neck.
"I don't do this," he said waving it about. Kaya and he hadn't even been on an official date, and he thought deep down that perhaps his run-in's with her had been what made this less nervy than it should have been. "Dinner and meeting," he couldn't even finish his sentence finding he was locked in those eyes.
He swallowed giving the smallest of smiles.
"I'm sure you say that to all the boys," there was some of his sarcastic humor but it wasn't as pinched as usual.

[info]theoriginalmilf 2011-06-30 11:31 am (local) (link) Track This "No," Jocasta said to him with a small shake of her head. "Not for a long time. But I saw you in your shop and... I knew I couldn't leave there without giving you my number. I was afraid," she admitted, "that you might not call though."
(Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread) that was supposed to say Kayla--but you'll forgive me [info]a_freudian_slip 2011-06-30 11:40 am (local) (link) Track This His eyes looked down not quite sure the reason he was smiling as if that compliment really did pierce him a bit. "Flattery, wow," that wasn't usual either. He stuck out like a sore thumb, not quite the pretty boy he expected this heart stopper to get.
"I tried not to..." if that gave her any indication of the way she made his heart race and scream all at the same time. It was enough to make him cringe but he didn't shriek away.

[info]theoriginalmilf 2011-06-30 11:53 am (local) (link) Track This Jocasta couldn't help but reach out across the table and put her hand on his. "I'm glad you did," she told him honestly. She felt like some hormonal teenager around him and she wasn't quite sure that she liked it, but he made her feel... safe? Comforted? Calm? She felt a lot of things, but Jocasta didn't know how much was about him.

[info]a_freudian_slip 2011-06-30 12:05 pm (local) (link) Track This There was a comfort in that hand of hers, but it should have thrown him back in time. It did, but not in seeing what made him the man he was, his story, his mistakes, his wrong-doings. Just seeing the 'king' and that was all. The man before the break of scientists and doctors.
Suddenly, there was no one else in this room but them and that was quite unusual.

[info]theoriginalmilf 2011-07-15 07:23 am (local) (link) Track This Jocasta smiled at him. "I want to know everything about you," she said. She didn't want this to just be a fling. She wanted him to stick around, unlike most of the other men she took an interest in.

[info]a_freudian_slip 2011-07-15 10:52 pm (local) (link) Track This "Uhhhh," this was the part where he didn't feel like flaying himself on a rack. Give the basics, no reason to dive into tiny details right? For some reason that made him nervous.
He swished around his water glass with a slightly nervous chuckle. "I own an antique shop and a hellatious cat. There's not much to know..." his voice trailed off. Don't ask, don't ask me anything about who I was. Right now he wanted to just be Rex.
