Ran was pretty sure she she couldn't pick up the hammer when she found it. She could no longer remember if that had been a true fact back in their day or simply something that had come from modern culture - but Ran suspected now that everyone believed it, it was probably true.
Being a sea goddess, Ran had always had very little to do with the Gods who didn't live in her realm. Thor and his hammer was far outside the boundaries of her great undersea hall and thus she'd never paid him any mind. But now he'd caught her interest with talk of the hammer. That was certainly a thing she could make a little money out of and Ran always wanted more wealth. She was the greedy thief of the ocean and could never be satisfied.
So she checked out local haunts, asking the right lowlifes the right questions with a little money slipped over the table. All she needed was the right direction.
Leaning over the bar in a club to ask the bartender some questions, Ran felt the presence of another immortal and paused.
A God weapon would be a thing of envy and power. Part of her wanted to find it just to see Merlin twitch. No doubt he had Excalibur in Arthur's hand, but if her hands held a God-weapon...well...
She didn't expect to find it however. It had magic, no doubt, but the entire city smelled of magic too. It'd go easier if she had a bit of the Norse God, but she doubted he'd be stupid enough to let hr take his blood.
So she'd latched onto the cold that came with Norse and found herself in a bar, looking at the thieving goddess of oceans. She'd made the wrong turn, obviously, but with one of their own near the search would go easier. Smiling she walked to the bar, ignoring the men who gaped at her. "Well. Seems we're meeting sooner then we thought."
At the voice Ran turned, unsure of who she was going to be seeing, but it was the woman from Thor's journal, the witch le Fay. "Indeed," she agreed with a small smile, leaning on the counter as she watched the dark haired woman. "Can I buy you a drink?"
