Who: Lucifer, Pride, and Pride's mortal, soon to be very dead, husband
What: Killing of said husband
When: Wednesday night
Where: Abandoned warehouse where this took place
Warnings: Lucifer and Pride being themselves, which most likely means language, violence, blood, torture, death, etc. So cheery, these two.
Finally. Finally, she was going to get her revenge on that lying, cheating bastard. One thing about Pride, she was the fucking queen of holding grudges. And she'd held them longer for much less.
And even better, the Morningstar was going to lend a hand. That was just the icing on the cake. She was practically giddy, and Pride didn't really do giddy.
Getting him there was a piece of cake. She wasn't going to go through the whole ordeal of tracking him down and knocking him out, like with his little whore. Instead, she slipped a sedative in his drink, and slipped off to call her driver as soon as that was done. When the man arrived, her hubby was snoring on the couch, completely oblivious.
"The same place as last time," she directed, after they'd bound his wrists and ankles and tossed him none too gently in the trunk. He nodded and held open the back door of the car for her, shutting it with a snap once she was inside.
Once they arrived at the warehouse, she strung him up the same way she'd done with the blonde, and once again, sat down to wait. She'd doubled the dose, so he'd be out for quite a while. And she still had to wait for Lucifer to arrive. It simply wouldn't be a party without him.

Lucifer was craving some violence. After Alcohol's less then pleasant save of Patrick, he'd been a bad mood. So when Pride had contacted him he'd cheerily changed his plans to aid her.
In many ways Lucifer felt he was responsible for creating Pride, with the whole 'Pride goes before the Fall' thing, so really it was his job to look after his favorite Sin.
But it didn't mean he was ever on time. Lucifer lived on his own schedule. People could adjust to his time schedule, not the other way around. So it was after a few hours he arrived, walking up behind Pride and kissing her cheek, "evening love. This our guest?"

Pride looked up from her book with a smile. She'd expected the wait, and she really didn't have anywhere else to go. When it came to this, she could exercise patience.
"Evening, Morningstar," she replied, leaning into the kiss. "And yes, meet the guest of honor." She got up from her chair, slapping the mortal soundly in the face. "Rise and shine," she trilled.
He blinked rapidly, eyes still bleary with sedative. "Isabella?" he rasped out. "What..."
"Not quite," she growled, letting him see the Hellfire burning in her eyes. "I prefer Pride," she told him, her smile all sharp teeth and vicious intent.

With a smile he lit up a smoke and watched he two, intent on securing the mortals soul for himself. Hell could always use more souls. "Such a peach isn't she?" He chuckled and watched the mortal, "and I hear someone's been a very naughty boy. Normally I'd applause you for it, but in this case you've made my Pride all sad. Now that won't do at all."
He smiled to Pride, "I'll let you get started on him. I imagine you have quite the talk planned for him."

"Not sad, so much as furious," she replied, tone deceptively light. "And incredulous. Really, you chose that skank over me, Marco? I have to say, that was extraordinarily stupid on your part. You had to know I'd find out. And you had to know I wouldn't be pleased." She wandered over to where she'd laid out her tools, picking up a small knife.
"And yet, you still did it anyway," she hissed, walking back over to him, knife extended until it was only a few millimeters from his eye. "And that was just you signing your own death warrant. It doesn't help that you're boring, self-obsessed, a terrible fuck, and in love with the sound of your own voice."
Marco opened his mouth to protest, but before he could say anything, Pride hit him with a wicked right cross. "Shut the fuck up," she spat. "I've waited a Hell of a long time for this, and I intend to enjoy every second. And I can't do that if you're prattling on in your own defense."
She walked back over to her arsenal, picking up a much larger knife and holding it out to Lucifer. "Would you like first cut, Lord?"

It was quite amusing to see Pride talk to the mortal like this, and knowing her she picked the mortals with enough of her sin inside them and then acted almost surprised when it caused their doom, but he let her have her moment.
When she offered the knife he smiled and shrugged off his coat. "You're so kind love." He took the knife and walked over to the man, "no hard feelings pet." He grabbed the mortals chin, carving an upside down pentagram in the mortals cheek with a low hum.

That was exactly what Pride did. Found someone with a little of her influence, blowing up their ego little by little, until a fall was all but inevitable. And Marco really had been one of her greatest projects, a long game she was all too happy to play.
She grinned. "I try," she said, watching him work. She was practically giddy, he was going to pay for everything, at the hands of her and the Morningstar.
She picked up the bull whip, uncoiling it and cracking it once right over Marco's head, watching him flinch. Then without any warning, she brought it down hard over his back, watching the skin split and the wound start to bleed.

When the whip cracked over his head he looked up to Pride with an eyebrow raised. "You almost hit me love." He finished the design and drew back wit ha smile. "Did he sign anything Pride?" He watched the mortal. Giving himself up to pride was one thing but Lucifer liked the souls he could claim as 'his', those that sold themselves to him.
It gave him some measure of power, and allowed him to add to his legions.

"Apologies," she trilled, taking a few steps away from him and bringing the whip down on Marco's back again. "Wouldn't want to mark that pretty face."
"No, he hasn't," she called out, over the sounds of whip meeting flesh and Marco screaming. "Unless he's made a deal with someone else and I don't know about it. Although, somehow, I doubt it."

He glanced to Pride, "mark my face love, I mark yours. Permanently." He gave a grin and set the knife away for a while, "good." He grabbed the mortal's chin and smiled. "give me your soul and I'll make her stop." A total lie, but he'd do what he had to to get what he desired.

Pride bit back her reply of 'I'd love to see you try', because Lucifer would only take that as an invitation. So instead she said nothing, took another step away, and cracked the whip again. Marco's back was a mess now, criss-crossing gashes bleeding freely. Pride hoped it hurt like Hell.
She had to clamp down hard on a snicker. Lucifer may be offering a respite in exchange for Marco's soul, but it was an empty promise. Once he had obtained it, Pride fully intended to carry on until she was satisfied. Which would inevitably mean his death, but then again, that was sort of the point.
Predictably, he folded like a cheap lawn chair. "Whatever you want," he gasped out. "Anything. Just, please, make her stop." Pride grinned in triumph behind him, cracking the whip one last time for good measure.
She replaced the whip, face and arms spattered with blood, and picked up a knife with a long and thin blade, point wickedly sharp. "I believe that's your cue, my Lord," she said, stepping aside.

He gave Pride a look, "I'm quite aware." He took out a scroll and the mans hand, pressing a bloody thumbnail to the parchment. It counted and it was done willingly. With a grin he stepped back and settled the scroll away. "All done." He brushed his coat off and took out a cigarette, lighting it. "He's all yours now love. Do cut off his tongue though. His screaming's giving me quite the migraine."
