Who: Elena Torres & Tezcatlipoca What: Tezcatlipoca visits the Temple and runs into someone he knows When: Wednesday afternoon Where: The Temple Warnings: Aztecs, TBD
Tezcatlipoca had been settling into the city quite well. He'd found a place large enough to house him and the three warriors that Huitzilopotchli had given him, and things were quickly establishing themselves into a rhythm. The only thing left that he really wanted to do was visit the Temple Quetzalcoatl had told him about. The warriors said they knew where it was, so Tezcatlipoca chose one to be his guide and take him there.
As they drew nearer, the feeling of his kin grew stronger, and he couldn't deny that pleased him. He stepped inside, feeling like he could breathe just a little bit easier. He knew Elena was in charge of this place, and he knew it wouldn't take long for him to find her.

Her eyes flicked up when a few of Huitzilopochtli's warriors walked in, and she smiled in greeting. Then she saw the man behind them and froze. He looked different than he had when they last met, but there was no mistaking it.
"My Lord," Elena breathed, eyes wide. The pencil she'd been holding slipped bonelessly from her fingers as she stared. (Reply to this)(Thread)

He couldn't help but smile a little at her expression of stunned surprise, bending down to retrieve her pencil and hand it back to her. "Hello, Elena. It's been a while." (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)

"I can't believe you're really back," she said, a laugh bubbling up. She had, in some ways, resigned herself to the possibility that Tezcatlipoca might never cross her path again. He was not the kind of god to be tied down. (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)
obsidianmirror 2012-05-16 09:58 pm (local) (link) "I thought it was time to come back," Tezcatlipoca said. "And apparently just in time, too. So many things have changed. Then again, so many things have stayed the same." He waved a hand. "But now, tell me about this Temple you've set up." (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)
giveusyourheart 2012-05-16 10:16 pm (local) (link) "You inspired me," she said, hanging close to him. She told herelf to stop looking starstruck, but it was probably a lost cause. "I set it up to give you and the other Aztecs the power you deserved. We've got a fairly large membership, all things considered. Plenty of people around here want to get in touch with their real heritage." (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)

You have done well," he told her, looking around at the Temple and all the people in it. Perhaps there were a few good things about this city after all. (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)
giveusyourheart 2012-05-20 06:16 am (local) (link) Elena told herself not to start glowing from the praise. It was hard, though.
"So, you met Quetzalcoatl? I didn't hear about any buildings mysteriously being demolished, so I guess the conversation went well?"
