Who: Hecate and Miranda Lowsley What: Hecate is being mother-hen When: Wednesday Evening Where: Miranda's apartment
Hecate did worry over Miranda and despite having had no children of her own (save the few she'd adopted) she did have a bit of a mothering complex. And Miranda had said she'd felt sick, and she liked the mortal girl. Therefor she had chicken soup in hand and plenty of somewhat cheesy movies to make the girl feel better. Hekuba sat at her side as she knocked on the door. She could, technically, just walk in but she hardly ever did that. Unless it was truly needed. Privacy was something she respected very highly.
Calmly she petted Hekuba while she waited, listening to the faint murmers of the dead. She kept a few around Miranda, because the girl was family and she'd not have the girl harmed because an Olympian thought it would be funny.

She spied Hecate through the peephole and then smiled, sniffing before she opened the door and smiled at the goddess. "Hello, Hecate," she said and then grinned at the dog. "Hello, Hekuba."

Her words, not mine." She gave the girl a look to make sure she was doing semi alright. "And I figured I'd offer some company. You're family. I take care of family."

[info]admiredmiranda 2011-11-16 10:53 am UTC (link) DeleteTrack This Miranda's smile was grateful. "When Hermes told me that he was married to Hecate," Miranda admitted, "I never expected you'd turn out to be so nice." She'd known about the gods for so long, almost a decade, but Hecate she'd only known for a few months. It had been Hermes who had suggested Hecate when Miranda was trying to find a job. The whole idea had been a little intimidating before meeting her. Especially as Miranda spent a lot of her time around witches and pagans, some of whom worshiped Hecate with vehemence.
"Come in though," she told her. "I'm just watching old TV and I don't believe I'm contagious to gods."

[info]torchywitch 2011-11-16 10:58 am UTC (link) Track This She chuckled, not taking offense. "Like many underworld Gods, I have a reputation." And she'd earned it. She could be scary when things were needed, but now was not the time. "And you are family. Thus I am nice. There's a time for everything."
Nodding she stepped inside, letting Hekuba wander around. "Go and get comfortable. 'll heat this up. And that's also why I'm nicer. You're triggering my mother hen complex. I don't get to fuss a lot. Besides they do also call me Nurse of the Young."

[info]admiredmiranda 2011-11-16 11:04 am UTC (link) DeleteTrack This "Remind me to stay on your good side," Miranda said with a little smile, tucking some slightly sweaty hair behind her ear and managing not to make a face at how that felt. She nodded when Hecate told her to go sit and went to do just that, curling back under her blanket on the couch. She was glad she didn't have to go into work tomorrow. She was pretty sure she was going to wake up feeling like death. "I'm okay with being mothered," she said, raising her voice a little so Hecate over in the kitchette could steal hear her clearly. "With mom not in the city I don't get to be mothered much."

[info]torchywitch 2011-11-16 11:12 am UTC (link) Track This "Don't imagine that's always easy," she called as she heated up the soup. It wasn't too long before she returned and set the bowl on the girl's lap. "You are automatically on my good side. You're Hermes'. Very few things you could do to truly make me upset." and she considered herself fairly relaxed for a Greek Titan. "And don't worry about work. Hypnos can cover."

Soup was magical. "I'll try not to sneeze on you though." She grinned at the mention of Hypnos and said, "he's so great, I love working with him."

[info]torchywitch 2011-11-16 11:31 am UTC (link) Track This She smirked, "I won't mind too much." She moved around the couch to go sit besides her young charge, handing her the movies she'd picked out. "I know. He really is a big help. I'm glad he took the job."

[info]admiredmiranda 2011-11-20 10:29 am UTC (link) DeleteTrack This Miranda would try her best not to be all snotty on her boss. She figured it would be preferred. "It's strange and nice to be meeting so many of the Greeks, having all this family around even if they're distant and even if they're sometimes a little bit evil."
