FINAL PLOT MISSIONS!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, NEOPOLIS!
We now emerge from the shadows of our hangovers to bring you: THE FINAL PLOT MISSIONS. Please remember, graduation is scheduled for tomorrow, which is when all Hell will begin to break loose, and the students will find themselves alone and trapped on the island. On Sunday, January 3rd, we mods will be updating again with your first set of plot details for each group. Based on your input, we have adjusted our update schedule slightly from Timesplosion. JANUARY 16th: Day Fourteen of Missions, FINALE, ALL GROUPS UPDATED.
So hopefully this works out a bit better for everyone involved in terms of giving regular, high action updates, but also making sure that there are days of rest in between.
And now, on to the missions! Remember, each member of VILLAIN was allowed to hand-select the students for their group, so these missions were made to cater to each student's individual skills, interests, and shticks. Of course, not everyone fits PERFECTLY into one of 14 groups, but we think that they worked out pretty well!
MISSION ONE: ATLANTIS
MOD: Julie
VILLAIN: General Nethuns, a renegade mad general of the Atlantean army who has overthrown the city of Poseidonis.
PARTICIPANTS: Kate, Xandros, Coral, Robbie, Mary, Marisa, Greta, Anna, Marla, Alyster
THE BASICS: This group of seafarers and bold adventurers shall find themselves unable to leave the confines of the ocean, and contracted to sail to Poseidonis, prove themselves against the new Knights of Tritonis, and slay the legendary kraken. There are rough seas out there, boys and girls, filled with no end of strange beasties and rummy pirates -- and that's before you've even reached the underwater city itself.
------------
MISSION TWO: DRAGGED TO HELL
MOD: Julie
VILLAIN: Adrian Asmodeus, C.E.O. of Hell, Co. Human form, demon form. A smooth-talking demon and head honcho of Hell, currently working with VILLAIN for the innumerable souls he's been offered.
PARTICIPANTS: Dante, Rose, Brent, Benita, Connor, Isaac, Dimitri, Claire, Sophia, Heather
THE BASICS: When the students awake, they are in Hell. Or at least, one of them. This particular infernal dimension is a creepy, twisted wasteland ruled over by -- yes, you guessed it, the gleaming architectural bulk of Hell, Co. Their task to prove themselves worthy? To descend into the depths of the inferno, prevail through the nine circles of hell, and recover some straying souls. And fill in lots of paperwork.
------------
MISSION THREE: RELIC HUNTING
MOD: Sarah
VILLAIN: Don Walter, an eccentric and wealthy collector. He has no super powers to speak of, but his vast collection of magical and scientific artifacts gives him quite the arsenal at his command.
PARTICIPANTS: Tuesday, Zoe, Cicely, Happy, Courtney, Regina, Magda, Val, Sally, Vinnie
THE BASICS: This group of adventurers will be set with the task of retrieving a mystic relic, long hidden in the deepest part of the Amazon Rainforest. There will be dangers at every turn -- from long-hidden tribes, wild animals, and the magical retribution of the Incan Gods. It won't be easy, but if anyone can do it, it's this group. Right?
------------
MISSION FOUR: THE HEIST
MOD: Julie
VILLAIN: Incapability Brown. Don't take his name for granted -- Incapability Brown was and is one of the most brilliant architects in Neopolis, with loyalty to neither the Band nor League.
PARTICIPANTS: Toby, Zac, Alex, Darcy, Casey, Scott, Andy, Jacob, Brand, Ezra
THE BASICS: These kids are going to take breaking and entering to its utmost limits. Incapability Brown, creator of elaborate security systems and deathtraps and poisons, thinks he's built the most utterly impenetrable fortress base. They'll have to prove him wrong -- it will involve laser security, holographic rooms, infiltrating computer systems, eluding henchmen on patrol, evading death traps, picking locks, hacking, and hiding in cardboard boxes. In short? All a part of the heist.
------------
MISSION FIVE: FROM RUSSIA, WITH LOVE
MOD: Sarah
VILLAIN: Nastya Slutskaya [ANASTASIA]
PARTICIPANTS: Amy, Svetlana, Joe, Dan, Jenlee, America, Austin, Willa, Molly, Jillian
THE BASICS: One look at the students in this group, and you probably know what's in store for them -- yep, these students have been hand-selected for their skills, expertise, and potential in the field of espionage. Though you might recognize the VILLAIN in question as the mother of one Svetlana Duff, the students will not be learning the identity of their tormentor right away. After all, what good Bond villain gives away their identity in the first act? Those in this group should plan on an action-packed two weeks, and think about whether they prefer their martinis shaken or stirred.
------------
MISSION SIX: A TRIP TO THE STARS
MOD: Sarah
VILLAIN: The Dark Invader
PARTICIPANTS: Huck, Leo, Ludwig, Hanselle, Adam, Ira, Dani, Freddy, Wally, Steve
THE BASICS: Not all of the missions are restricted to boring old planet Earth! No sir, this group will be far, far, away in a spaceship, traveling through a distant galaxy. Their VILLAIN isn't so interested in giving them any sort of a mission to complete -- no, The Dark Invader just wants a good chase. So though they get a ship for free, it'll be up to this group to find their way home alive. Good luck -- space is a dangerous place.
------------
MISSION SEVEN: THE LAND OF FAERIE
MOD: Emily
VILLAIN: Dead Bowie & fairy consort, Remella Grimvine
PARTICIPANTS: Wendelin, Agnes, Cal, Braden, Alvin, Emily, Teddy, Jamie, Allegra, Beatrix, Clarence
THE BASICS: These students find themselves in neither Earth nor Space, but across the veil in the land of faerie, where magic runs rampant and humans are not well-tolerated. Some in this group are more well-suited than the rest (and they'll find themselves more in their element than ever!) - the others will have to be particularly careful if they don't want to stay trapped forever! Of course, that may be just what Remella Grimvine wants -- and what the traitorous Dead Bowie promised her. Can the students escape with their numbers - and sanity - in tact?
------------
MISSION EIGHT: THE CASTLE OF ATRONTO
MOD: Julie
VILLAIN: Count Atronto
PARTICIPANTS:Victoria, Ellie, Winston, Godfrey, Judy, Grant, Lettie, Ana, Elwood, Ivy, George
THE BASICS: It's a dark and stormy night, and this group of predominantly gothic students are transported to the Old World, to a small Transylvanian village which seems stuck in medieval times. The village itself is ruled over by an immensely creepy count -- who, soon enough, is inviting them all to his foreboding castle for supper. He's welcoming and genial enough, of course, and will house them in elaborate bedrooms for the duration of their stay. But the challenge? Survive for as long as possible in this monster-rich castle. And watch out for Igor and the secret passageway while you're at it, won't you?
------------
MISSION NINE: PLAYING TO SURVIVE
MOD: Sarah
VILLAIN: The Parker Brothers
PARTICIPANTS: Cole, Charlie, Trish, Dorothy, Jessi, Roxie, Tash, Sebastian, Grace, Christian
THE BASICS: Don't let their dapper appearances fool you -- these bad guys are actually completely off of their respective rockers. One of them would look very familiar to those who attended the BHH Christmas party. That's right, Sandy's boyfriend "Parker Matthews" is really Matthew Parker, and he was only dating her so that he could get a thorough assessment of the Neopolis student body -- well, that, and the sex, obviously. As their names might suggest, the Parker Brothers have a love for toys and games, and they hope that you do, too! This group is in for a zany time, as they attempt to make their way through real-life versions of board games and battle evil toys. Good thing they've got Natasha with them -- just so long as she doesn't get distracted by trying to make friends with the bad guys.
------------
MISSION TEN: MYSTICAL MOUNTAIN
MOD: Emily
VILLAIN: Alba Abomina
PARTICIPANTS: Jackie, Jimmy, Matty, Toni, Billy, Theresa, Lance, Erik, Reggie, Violet
THE BASICS:The group wakes to find themselves in an idyllic scene: mountains, blue skies, a few goats. It's a bit chilly, but nothing unmanageable, to be sure. Of course, it won't stay that way... VILLAIN Alba Abomina is set on taking over the sacred temple at the top of the mountain - a place with a great view and a great amount of power. And so the kids are set on that task - to climb the mountain, fight the monks, and hand over the keys to Alba if they want to get out with their lives.
------------
MISSION ELEVEN: THE ISLE OF SIN
MOD: Ryan
VILLAIN: Dr. Genghis Sin
PARTICIPANTS: Johnny, Jack, Queenie, Nate, Tony, Janelle, Drake, Holly, Dominique, Aviva
THE BASICS: This group of intrepid heroes and villains will be waking in more tropical climes; specifically on what appears to be the beach of a small Caribbean island. Some brief investigation will reveal that this lush, jungle-covered isle is none other than the notorious Isle of Sin, a semi-dormant volcano in the Bermuda Triangle and the secret headquarters of megalomaniac Dr. Genghis Sin! The cackling crazypants, renown for being the perpetual thorn in the side of Team Danger, will instruct the team via two-way video that they need to quell some trouble that's been brewing from the 'local' population of the island if they want to survive! Oh, and he's probably thrown in the occasional deathtrap to make things interesting - it is a tropical volcano hideout, after all!
------------
MISSION TWELVE: STORMING OLYMPUS
MOD: Ryan
VILLAIN: Atë, Greek Goddess of Rash Action and Reckless Impulse
PARTICIPANTS: Nardo, Lucas, Ragnar, Sandals, Katrina, Phoebus, Arden, Odie, Twitch, Brendan
THE BASICS: Waking in an arid Mediterranean forest of fig and olive trees, this group will get the eerie sensation of being not quite at home - in more ways than one. Those with links to the god-world might particularly realize that they're on the threshhold, where the real world meets the shared dimension of the classical mythological pantheons, specifically Olympus! The idyllic Greek setting will be disrupted by fire and explosions, and the cacophonous arrival of wild-eyed Atë, who will introduce herself as the Goddess of Awesomeness, but who a quick wiki check will reveal as the Goddess of Rash Action and Reckless Impulse. Her chronic bad decisions have had her cast out of Olympus long ago, and she wants back; so she's sending her 'chosen warriors' to march on Olympus and steal Zeus' thunderbolts, which she somehow thinks will have her reinstated in the Pantheon!
------------
MISSION THIRTEEN: NEW YORK NOIR
MOD: Ryan
VILLAIN: The Jester
PARTICIPANTS: Simon, Vera, William, Mandy, Kai, Sasha, Marcus, Tibby, Eddie, Annie
THE BASICS: This group will be finding themselves in an abandoned warehouse, on what they will soon discover to be the New York harbour. The ominous surroundings will be made no more cheerful by the arrival of the Jester, one of the leading names in the world of organized supercrime. The giggling Comedian Prince of Crime will explain that a new gang has been making inroads into his turf, and with the bulk of his forces preoccupied with the assault on Neopolis, he needs the students to find the insolent newbies and take care of them. An address of a seedy dive where leads might be found is given, along with a promise that any attempt to contact authorities - super or mundane - will result in collar activation.
------------
MISSION FOURTEEN: BIG IN JAPAN
MOD: Ryan
VILLAIN: Hell O'Kitty
PARTICIPANTS: Yoshimi, Kaori, Mason, Chloe, Harvey, Anderson, Marco, Rob, Quintella, Jonathan
THE BASICS: The group find themselves in the lair of the yakuza crime boss Hell O'Kitty, a demonic spirit possessing an innocuous plushie doll. Though the V.I.L.L.A.I.N. may seem pretty kawaii, don't be fooled: she's pure evil. The twisted toy explains - in her unearthly rasp - that the group have a pretty simple mission - one of delivery. Given a large steel box, they're told to take the package to robotics genius Dr. Roboto in his lair, deep underneath the bustling, high-tech entertainment district of Harajuku. O'Kitty can't go herself due to conflicts with several local street gangs, so the group are told to be on their guard and sent off into the high-tech metropolis...
------------
GROUP FIFTEEN: FACULTY
MOD: Emily
VILLAIN: Caesar
PARTICIPANTS: All Faculty.
THE BASICS: And ah, our illustrious faculty! They are being held in Caesar's "palace", imprisoned and helpless to do anything but give advice over the networks. Oh, and be forced to do menial tasks for the deluded VILLAIN. It's all very disheartening, but hopefully they've taught the students of Neopolis well... right?
------------
So that's that! Though there isn't really a lot to plan until you get the first plot update, we'll go ahead and make organized comment threads as usual, so that you can feel free to comment about a particular group to your heart's delight if you so wish. There will also be a comment thread for questions, of which you will all surely have lots. LOOKING FORWARD TO SUNDAY, GUYS!
