He had seen the 'flyer' for the restaurant online and the enthusiastic recommendation from one of the staff encouraged Jay to give
The Golden Phoenix a try. He dined out more often than not, and still being new in town, more than usual, not having had much of a chance to develop a wide circle of friends yet.
He didn't mind having to suddenly step in to help at the university, filling in for staff who were either not up to returning yet, or just simply not returning, but it had greatly diminished his opportunity to get himself settled in in Seattle. Hunting out good eateries was always high on his agenda in a new place, usually through recommendations, or simply the aroma that came from a door when he was passing it by. "Thanks," he said, taking the proferred menu and sitting down. He glanced around and wondered who it was that had replied to his inquiry online as he opened the menu and started to browse the selection.
