I was hoping someone could help me; the source code for Expressive is plain, but all the Expressive css I've come across calls for 'Unstyled' with the layout's stylesheet which evidently requires a bit more.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

css and S2 Bloggish

I've seen some nice layouts and tips here and I was wondering if anyone could provide some tips on how to do any one of the following:

1. When having a custom header image using S2 Bloggish (folio theme), how to stop the journal title/subtitle or journal name from appearing over the image.
2. How to have custom links instead on the image, something like this? Or how to have images separating posts like in the aforementioned link?

Any advice is appreciated.

I'd love to create my own layouts to share using Bloggish (I'm more familiar with Flexible Squares, but you can use Bloggish here for free, so... :)

Does anyone have a 'base' template I could start out with? The simpler, the better :)

Ones that use the 'Base Weblog Stylesheet' are ok, too!

Announcement and Refreshing Us on the Rules

First, the announcement. I'm in the process of reworking some of the tags. please take the time to note some of the changes [I should be done soon]. It's best if you view in the community style when you try and look at the tags.

We've manged to get away from the posting format we had originally set up. I'll refresh you on that, the only accept posts that have that format set up. This includes for layout graphics offered up.

There is an exception to the rule. Requests for layouts and help don't have to be formated.

The background of this layout is by Vlad Gerasimov at Vladstudio. There are, in fact, several different sizes of backgrounds to suit your screen. For my layout, however, I took the 1024x768 size and slightly darkened the background woodgrain area for easier text reading. Feel free to try a different size from his website, or support the artist and register for higher quality images of his wallpapers.

Special thanks to karanguni for the tip on adding borders to icons for Refried Paper! Note, however, that all images in your entries will also have a border around them because Refried Paper doesn't separate icon images from images in your posts. If you don't want the border around your images in your post, you will have to use the following code each and every time you post an image:

For this layout, you must choose S2 as your style system, under "Look and Feel" choose Refried Paper. There is only one theme for this style.

You won't need to worry about the width of the text area, background image, transparency of tables, or even any of the default colours as the CSS code does that all for you. However, under the "Custom Options" you do need to set the side of the journal that the sidebar appears on to "Right."

Ok, I wanted overrides. BUT these overrides only work in S1. I use S2, because I pretty much suck at CSS. I want my journal to stay looking like it does in S2: Example. But I have no idea about how to go about doing it. Can anyone help?
