This is the end.

Time: From November 14th (11:59 PM EST) to November 20th (11:59 PM EST)

Location: Everywhere.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: The end has ICly been started. Characters who just want Khaos to die have all the information they need now. They know where the chalices are, they know which cities to go to and which ancient locations to seek out. Split your characters here OOCly for an even enough balance and then figure it out ICly. We suggest a couple of people take charge in organizing ICly but this is not required. The exact location of the each chalice will likely be inside of a temple or the like.

This won't be without issue. Khaos has her minions and they have reasons to interfere. They will try to dwindle down the number of each team, hoping to prevent enough to make the goal unreachable. At least five characters MUST be at the chalice and remain near it for at least a full day while protecting it. Their proximity will mean there will be a flow of their power going into the chalice. At least five characters MUST accomplish this per chalice.

We know the event is shockingly short but we didn't see much sense in pushing out a whole week of it. Due to valid concerns, we're making it longer and hope everyone finds the new dates satisfactory! When the 20th passes and they are successful, then the chalices will explode. An end post, among others, will address everything after that. Note that this is also the time to end any character lives you wish to. These deaths are real so be prepared for that.

And with the end of our second to last event, characters will be allowed to experience a normal New York again. Plant life will recede rapidly and the prehistoric creatures will take their leave within minutes. By four AM, all will be quiet, the city empty and normal except only they will be there. But by six AM, things will be busy and back to normal.

Those who need medical help should seek it when they can. As is the trend now, if your character died during the event, they will remain dead.

Everyone loved Jurassic Park - right?

Time: From November 7th (11:59 PM EST) to November 12th (11:59 PM EST)

Location: NYC (everyone will be pulled back no matter where they are)

EVENT DESCRIPTION: All the characters start out away from the apartment building that will be considered a safe zone for the most part. It has the most security, food, water and weapons for your characters to fight the dinosaurs that will try to break in and devour them. And believe us, they will try and try. There will be NPC updates when they will likely succeed.

But as if right now, everyone gets a map, their laptop and phone plus bottled water and a weapon of their choice. Guns, crossbows, knives - nothing huge or extra special and up to the players to decide. This isn't a very technologically advanced hunt and pretty low-tech in ways. It's going to be gritty and fairly Walking Dead-style but with dinosaurs.

There is no way out of the city, not with Mother Nature having taken over. Plants and more have overgrown, destroying the roads, airports, trains and more. You can try starting a car to get around but excessive and unnatural noises will agitate the plant life into trying to take over whatever is causing the sounds.

We would like to state again that all deaths will be for real. So if you are planning on one, plan wisely! Just in case: only characters in-game will be in the city! Pets may be around but that is up to players. Pet deaths will be permanent, though.

And with the IC post of the death of two NPCs, the event ends. Characters will find themselves at home or in a hospital, depending on what your character suffered. There will be little remaining from the semi-fabricated NYC 1950s but your character might find little things, like a pair of shoes, a hat or even a syringe.

And if your character died during the event (though we think everyone made it out this time!), people will begin to realize this when they don't come back at all. Play it as you like. The NPCs have done what they can to deliver their messages.

Nurse Ratched, is that you? Oh dear, godlings, this may be bad. Very bad.

Time: From October 23rd (11:59 PM EST) to October 30th (11:59 PM EST)

Location: NYC (everyone will be pulled back no matter where they are and attempts to leave will be thwarted)

EVENT DESCRIPTION: When the clock strikes midnight, the world will change. Your characters will find themselves in New York but one from the 1950s. Expect the change in wardrobe, hair style and how your character will be treated by the citizens of the city. Expectations will not be like those in the modern era, so keep in mind how women and men would be treated back then and apply it to how NPCs would treat your characters and whatever they do. Your characters will return to using paper journals once more, so be prepared for that. And among all the historical and old, there will be a building none will remember from that era, a proud old hospital serving those who are mentally unwell.

This is Schilling Hospital. Here, there are a variety of treatments, including electro-convulsive therapy, forced medically-induced comas and lobotomy. Less known are the exorcisms by some over-religious doctors and visiting priests, physical abuse and purposeful neglect. The staff know their duties and perform them well. Nurses wield power over the patients, the doctors even more so. The environment is brutal, unjust and none of the other patients will tell you it gets better.

That right, many characters (selected from our beloved volunteers) will suddenly find themselves within the walls of the asylum and they'll be told how long they really have been there when they ask. Or they'll be taken to the asylum on the first day of the event (it's player choice). Despite their very best protests, they'll be told they cannot leave, that this is for their own good. Everyone has a reason to be there, whether it's right or very, very wrong.

For example: Freyja's husband checked her in chronic weeping and believes her mentally disturbed. And so she can't check herself out. Of course her denying it only will make her seem more crazy.
Or: Hathor voluntarily checks due to stress in under the condition she will let the doctor decide when to let her out. Or even if she doesn't agree to that condition, suddenly it is made that way because the authorities here are outright corrupt - especially once you get to know them.

Regardless of how they get they, they aren't allowed out now. And these are the current residents: The List Of Patients )

The unlisted are in the city. Some of them have loved ones locked up. They are, of course, free to try to bust them out but, should they be caught, they'll become a new resident at the asylum. After all, whatever power you think you have, there's always going to be one (or more) greater than you. Or, perhaps, your character isn't so kind and may be trying to keep someone in the asylum.

On this note, if your character currently has a job that could be associated with the asylum, such as being a doctor, nurse or even janitor, they are feel to get involved there whether to help or hinder. As sometimes things can get violent, the law could get involved as well. But remember, control and power belongs to Khaos' people who will be sure to trap and announce things when they please. There is no legal or safe passage out of the asylum because they want you here. If you do escape, prepare to become a very wanted individual, the law being on the asylum's side.

If your character is in the asylum, feel free to list the reasons why below. If you need any mod input, please ask! It's optional to do all this but it can also help with plotting and more.

We have an event coming up and need you to volunteer your characters! No need to volunteer them all if you don't wish. We may not use every single one as well but we'd like to have a good selection for what is going to be happening soon.

NOTE: in fairness, we will say this will cause a great deal of stress for those who may be selected among the volunteers. So PLEASE be sure of who you are offering. Again, there will be mental, physical and emotional stress placed on them if not more. It's up to you to decide if you think your character can handle it or if you want them to have certain traumas.

If you have no one you can volunteer, that is ok! There will be something for everyone to do.

So before 2:00 PM EST on 22nd, go ahead and reply. This isn't mandatory and also keep in mind that we will not do anything incredibly vile to any character, especially if you suddenly realize that something happening is just not ok at all. Player feelings matter to us. Just remember our events depend on you being absolute OK and ready to roll with whatever happens. Again, please only volunteer if you are OK with your characters being chosen for this. You will only be allowed to know what happens once the event begins and not beforehand.

Welcome back, godlings, Khaos has missed you all...

Time: From October 12th (11:59 PM EST) to October 16th (11:59 PM EST)

Location: Everywhere

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Upon waking up (or if your character is not asleep then by accident) everyone will be greeted by a small fairy perched nearby. This fairy may be male or female (entirely up to you) and will follow your character around for the duration of this event. Swat at them, attempt to trap them or worse, they will prove to be nimble and clever to escape that intent. They will endure and remember it. Note the color of your fairy as well because it will matter. All of them begin in a pleasing brown-themed look.

If one is decent enough to these small creatures, the fairies will help out their reincarnated pal. Carry over a mug of tea (they are tougher than they appear), curl up in your character's hands to warm them (they are magical), offer sympathetic noises (they can't speak human languages, after all). Regrettably, at night, their natures will sour, their color shifting to orange. They might pull on hair (especially nose hair), screech in ears or scrawl on the walls using whatever they can find. In short, they'll behave like spoilt brats that can't be controlled or caught. By morning, however, they'll be sweet again.

However, these fairies can go from mischievous to wicked with one simple action. Should a character swat or attempt to do something against them, even by accident, that fairy will have a chance of heart. A mistreated fairy can never go back to being good.

So, godlings, if you haven't been good to your visitor, the mistreated fairies will prove themselves harmfully mischievous through out the day. Their pranks during the day, such as making strange and undesirable texts to your contacts, shutting down your computer or laptop while you're working and putting your car in reverse while you're at a light, are annoying but not overly dangerous. At night though wicked fairies are at their worse, they'll grow into something truly evil, deaf to any apology and numb to any idea of mercy. They'll find ways to see you fall down a flight of steps, will sever brake lines in cars, tip over lit candles and more. Their intent will be to do real damage unlike the well-treated fairies.

Unlike other fairies, the these wicked fairies will be red in color day and night, while the normal fairies will be brown during the day and orange at night.

The player is free to pick out personalities for their fairies as well as the good and bad that will come from having one.

tl'dr; you all have fairies, don't piss them off, or you'll break something. Normal fairies are brown during the day, orange at night; wicked fairies are red all the time.

By midnight EST, your characters will have returned home. The healthy, living ones anyway. Their injuries will have been patched up for the most part, any missing bits returned. They won't be spared much pain that they suffered. For example, Euterpe and Cù Sìth, both who were just barely saved, will still have pains from wounds that may not exist anymore. It will take a up to five days for them to be fully well again, longer than others who might only need one to three days.

For the deceased, they will return - in hospitals. Their reason for being there will vary and can be chosen by players. Car accidents, a fight gone badly, etc. No one in the hospital will suspect otherwise and these formerly deceased characters will be less patched up than the ones who lived. However, they can be released as soon as you think them capable or too impatient to stay though they will not fully recover until several days later (we estimate a week at least). Feel free to take this in any direction you see fitting.

Remember that dying should never be taken lightly. Naturally, depending on your character's personality and myth, they may handle it differently but that the effects of death should still be noted someway.

This will eventually go into an IC post by the doctore (AKA Kala). But as things are not fully decided yet, it will remain here until all characters have been decided for.

PLEASE NOTE: this is your last chance to figure out battles amongst yourselves. If we find people are still undecided by the 19th, 11:59 PM EST, we will do coin flips and arrange the remaining. Please keep in mind that victories are VERY hard to obtain and also keep in mind your character's physical state (age, eating/smoking/drinking habits, how much exercise they normally get, health issues, etc versus the others), their LACK OF special abilities and whether they are really physical fighter types at all or not. And also consider bad luck, please. It happens to the best of fighters.

If among the decided battles they feel they can squeeze in a third to help accommodate some of the remaining characters and make a trio, please do so! We will not insist that the decided victors have to redecide anything as that is unfair to them. That is entirely up to the person with the victorious character if they feel they can change that. We just would like to see the strays be handled soon. ♥

Though she grows more vulnerable, Khaos' rage burns stronger and faster. This time, she has clashed with Kala, forcing you, godlings, to be pitched back into time. To a place where blood was as desirable as gold, lusted for and craved. Where crowds howled and cheered for their favourites and flung refuse at those they loathed.

Welcome to Ancient Rome.

Time: From the 15th (11:59 PM EST) to 30th (11:59 PM EST)

Location: Whisked to Ancient Rome (roughly late first century/early second century)

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

MAJOR READING BELOW FOR A DETAILED EVENT


For the two weeks, your characters will be in this world. Use the limited time well for plots and drama. Ideas for this have been taken from mainly series Spartacus but don't feel limited to that.

The first week will be spent training for the gladiators at their ludus (gladiator training school), figuring out who would match who (read more below for how this will be managed). Take part in the lifestyle, of the wine, the men and women, the gambling and, naturally, bloodsport. Go to games held before the big next week. The messenger (who will be revealed below) is the one to go to if your gladiator character requires ANYTHING at all so we encourage his use. We don't encourage too much visit to the doctor as he just might steal bits of life-force but, alas, he is the only doctor your characters get. But remember that if your character is property, they will not necessary have a great amount ot freedom. Yes, even the gladiators will be treated like slaves even if they are of value. They may have family but permission will have to be earned to see that family or even go out. This can be done through filtering to one's master and/or mistress (the NPC will reply). Journals will be magical and made of paper once more. Use this as needed.

Death by crucifixion is a possibility should someone get out of hand. But mostly, expect a character to be threatened with or even whipped or humiliated in unpleasant manner to stifle any disobedience that has been caught. And should someone demand special inspection of them, they will whip off that subligaria (and strophium if you are a woman) and show them the goods. Because, once more, your character is property of the lanista and will do as they are told. Naturally, no character will be forced into anything they (and you) don't want but please keep in mind realistic consequences and so forth. This can also be used for drama you can handle.

The above are some helpful links if you need to grasp something. While not a fantasy realm, some liberties can be taken as we don't expect people to get elbow deep in research and that we have a variety of nationalites among our cast. As women are also gladiators during this era rather than a later one that we are already bending some rules. But remember realism for what you can, please.

Details concerning the characters & npcs )

The second week will be the battles in the arena. Within those seven days, it's predicted five days will have two fights max and two days will have three. As there is not an even number of males and females, there will be ONE female trio and ONE male trio. Characters will DIE unless they signal for mercy or are given it by the lanista. The crowds also dictate a person's life. To signal for mercy is also a sign of weakness, a thing of shame but it is still a choice. Please remember to plot things out with others and don't be shy about seeing your character perish in the glory of the arena.

ABILITIES: these will be gone. For all characters. It will come down strictly to what knowledge and skills your character has naturally and please keep this in mind when deciding whether they win or lose. Yes, they will walk in with a sword or spear (your choice), some armour and shield but that will be it.

The last one standing might not be so fortunate anyway. Khaos rules here despite being a woman and she may very well pit your weakened character against her guards or someone in a more fresh state. But there may be a chance at freedom as well, something judged by any sort of logs done for the pleasure of the true audience (AKA us, lovelies). If you complete a mini or log and would like to see if the community feels your victorious character deserves freedom, make an OOC note at the end of it. Then players can make ooc notes on that log or mini. The results will be decided every midnight with a comment from the dominus Chiconahuiehecatl.

For sake of absolute clarity, please list in the appropriate comment thread below who you would like to see win or lose (and possibly die if the character does not signal for mercy). Examples of what we mean will be below. Match up the best you can with characters who have chosen something opposite of yours. We will have a second post up with the battles once most people have arranged something so people can get to logging or figuring out what to do.

Those that remain undecided whether for battle pairings or the outcome and would prefer for 'fate' to decide, we mods will take care of that. We have a second comment thread below for those. In reference to the matter of being granted mercy, if you would like the mods to decide, leave a comment here as well whenever. An OOC comment will be offered on the mini, log or, if you don't have time, in general in this thread.

And then, in the third comment, please list all those who are not gladiators (slaves, more guards, whores, merchants, children or spouses of those in power). We hope for most characters to be contained within the ludus but there will be access to others when others are invited in or people are allowed out. People who may stay in the villa as guests or even those who become a patron of the ludus or purchase a gladiator as their own if the master and mistress allow. Purchasing a gladiator or a to-be is no small expense and a character should have means to cover the expenses. The females interested will also need an indulgent male relation as well (unless drama is desired).

There is no such thing as a perfect world. And here's the reason why, godlings. Remember to be grateful for your lives after this.

Time: From April 24th (11:59 PM EST) to May 2nd (11:59 PM EST)

Location: Everywhere.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Characters will slowly find something strange happening in their homes. Whether they are to wake or are still up, a perfect life will being to unravel. Whatever is their idea of perfection - it is happening but it is only happening within their homes. Their perfect lives cannot escape into the streets and take over. They can leave their houses but when they go back, that life will be waiting for them, whatever it may be.

And it will be so very perfect (whatever is THEIR idea of perfect). There is no way to stress this more. Yet, that is the flaw. There is no room for change and it's not as if people have only one idea of perfect. They may be crowded by many perfect ideas and figures.

And on top of that, these lives may also contain 'duplicates' of those in-game.

Examples )

If characters with live with others (NPCs), those people will seem to become used to these lives, become integrated with the perfection. If character live with others (characters in-game), their perfect lives with mingle.

More examples )

Some people may believe their lives are as perfect as they get. Break apart that reasoning with pained flawlessness, create drama and whatever else you like.

List below who your characters may have in their homes or begin posting about those in your characters' homes. Remember that any and all perfect versions are your characters' projections and are not the true characters. It's all about your characters' mindset and feelings. Talk it out if you are worried about anything but we trust you all to remember this is for fun. ♥

By midnight EST, everyone will feel sleepy and pass out within ten to fifteen minutes. When they next wake up (between half an hour or morning), they'll be at home in their own beds. Clean and warm, with any injuries healed nearly to the point of perfection. Those that had been taken will also wake this way but may have remnants of vines or branches in bed.

Outside of that there will be no gifts this time, godlings. But have a happy Easter or just a pleasant Sunday.

Time: From April 1st (11:59 PM EST) to April 7th (11:59 PM EST)

Location: A grand maze in a location unknown to all (all will be pulled to it from everywhere)

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Characters will awaken in a maze but they will not be found all in one group. Some may be in the north while others may be as far as south. Like the hour the event starts, it will be dark but light will come within an hour and last eighteen hours before darkness comes again.

Aside from their phones and laptops which will only function to contact one another, characters will be granted a compass each as well as one knife. There will be trees and bushes that will provide nourishment (apples, oranges and other fruits). Water will be found in streams that run through the maze as well. If your character is lucky, perhaps a rabbit or bird may find its way into their hands. Ruins sprinkled here and there, lovely places to rest, build a fire for the darker, colder hours (if your character is capable of that). Right in the middle of the whole plot will be the main ruins as well as many, many trees with delicious, tempting fruits. The paths will be idyllic and may even lull some into a false sense of security.

Try not to. For Khaos' minions are in the maze as well. And they are armed to hunt, to take down your characters. Whenever they corner a character and bring them down (not fatally), it will be those the beautiful hedges, the nourishing trees and bushes that will reached out and drag them within themselves, the characters not to be seen again until after the event. They won't die (perish the thought!) but be suspended, stored until Khaos is done seeing everyone riled up and panicky.

Of course, there is also another fun fact: should your characters turn on one another, the maze will react all the same. Stealing their prize before they can end their target. Though a sprinkle of petals on top of your character's head might be a sign of approval. Or just a warning to run before they are grabbed as well. One never knows. This also applies if the maze thinks you've been sleeping too long or have gone unconscious. We, of course, leave this up to the players to decide. Feel free to have fun with the near-playful and lively surroundings.

Welcome to Raffle part one!

For our next event, we need the participation of all you lovely people. While we have several events lined up for the coming months, we know sometimes there are certain scenarios you'd like to try with your muses. Perhaps you're hoping for something specific to happen soon, maybe you'd just like a serious event or a cracky one.

Well, here is your chance. We'd like you all to suggest some events, big or small - it doesn't matter. It can be anything or everything. You have until 31st 11:59 PM EST to reply with your event ideas. Don't worry about being too detailed if you don't want to.

On the next day, we'll be doing a raffle among the mods, likely involving slips of papers and a hat to pick out one event. The event idea will be announced with the event itself followed soon afterward.

By midnight EST, the transformations began to decrease. By one AM EST, they will be have completely ceased. All things transformed will remain that way. However, the people themselves who were affected will be restored. Any loss of hair or being flung off somewhere suddenly will be adjusted.

Magic kits will be found under everyone's beds. ♥ Perfectly safe...minus the live rabbit in the top hat that will be included. Or white dove. Your choice!

Khaos is pretty pissed off about how things have been turning out. She's trying to get a semblance of order going again, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen very time soon, unfortunately she still has all your souls in her hands (and yes, that includes your powers kids). Touching is such a crucial part of everyday interaction, isn't it?

Time: From the 16th (11:59 PM EST) to 21st (11:59 PM EST)

Location: All over NYC.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: For the next five days everyone is going to be pulling tricks worthy of Houdini himself; this is to say, the magic touch is present in everyone of course those who are more prone to being emotional will find it very difficult to cope. The basic gist is this sometimes when your character touches while feeling emotional about anything (a strong sense of sadness, joy, anger) something ~magical~ will happen. The TV remote will be a hot dog and your spoon might be a snake. The next spoon may be a Mickey Mouse key chain or another snake. It's entirely random.

And when you touch someone else? Well, it depends entirely on your feelings towards them in that moment. Say you want them to go away? You might just get them to appear somewhere in Rio. You want their attention? They might be unable to do anything but follow you for the next five hours.

Yes, this works between all reincarnated beings, just please be sure to double-check with your fellow muns for plot plans and the like.

Once midnight strikes, all the mistletoe will vanish. Decorations will immediately wilt and appear to have gathered dust. The grand Christmas tree's lights will fuse out - all the same time.

When your characters attempt to dial zero on the phone, there will be a hideous hissing noise. Go ahead and try to the doors, the windows. They'll be as stubborn as before. Oh, the event itself is over. What's happening now is something else.

Stay alert. Someone wants to address everyone very, very soon.

Just for Christmas Day:


Around six AM EST, snow will start falling indoors. It will only be in the hallways and lobby, never allowed to grow more than a foot, whether your character lets it be or kicks it about. This mean there will be plenty to build snowmen or have fights with, of course.

Notes will appear on characters' front door (on the inside) about a snow-shoveling service. If one opts for this, dial zero on your phone, request and hang up. Within fifteen minutes, chipmunks and squirrels will show up with little shovels and proceed to make a path for you. A bowl of nuts will also appear on each character's dining tables if your character should like to feed them for their service.

EVENT~


It's time.

Time: From December 20th (11:59 PM EST) to December 27th (11:59 PM EST)

Location: NYC (everyone will be pulled back no matter where they are)

EVENT DESCRIPTION: It was December when many discovered who they were, that they were not alone. All characters will be transported to an elegant and very modern apartment building. With so many having joined us since then, it's only fitting that everyone will be planted in a place they cannot escape from (minus the beasties and the like). A place filled with memories, with vivid scenes they may wish to interact with but can't. Like the very first event, character will come across visions at random but this includes all their lives (current included). Some may even be false memories during various lives (or lives never had). A hint, perhaps? We leave these false memories up to you but remember they must be based in our world.

Not everyone will have their own place but all are free to move in with someone else or an empty apartment if one becomes available. There is just enough food and supplies for the period of time they'll be in there though, if requested, more can be brought (keep reading). Water is plenty as the faucets function and everyone has their phones and laptops.

However characters will be restricted from doing is leaving. The windows have bars on them and even skinny Famine will not be able to get through. The doors leading out are solidly locked. Characters can peer out the smoky glass but no one will see them or will be able to hear them. Using the phone or laptop to communicate messages to anyone not on the community will not be possibly. But feel free to browse about on Google or do the rest of a character's Christmas shopping (should your character's budget allow!) as these will end up delivered to the building when possible. ♥ Khaos doesn't mind provided you don't try to slip in a sneaky message anywhere. Anything (including presents) not in your character's hand at the time of being taken will NOT be brought with them but perhaps that shall inspire a bit of well-thought creativity for the upcoming holiday. Material things aren't the only thing one can offer~

The lobby will have an imposing but beautiful tree, as well-decorated as you can imagine. There is a likely chance birds and small animals may be living in it. And there will be mistletoe, randomly scattered. Sometimes above a doorway, sometimes above a toilet. Maybe in the closet or under the table. Think you can't get a kiss in some of these places? You're right. Some of these mistletoe do not inspire kissing. They 'poison'. So alongside real and false memories, your characters may be slammed with extra issues. Each area differs. Effect wears off after three hours unless your character runs into another mistletoe (no one is restricted by which floor they are staying on). Then tack on another three hours to the character's remaining time. Effects can be blended for something amusing or...disaster.

There will be an apartment manager, one that characters will never be able to meet in person. She will have three subordinates who will take care of maintenance and requests without every meeting anyone as well. Of course, we mean Khaos and her companions. Feel free to catch sight of them but they are slippery.
