Don't get me wrong, that was some very impressive flurry action on the drive home and I gotta give you props for not making the roadways all messy, but, really, snow? Now? It's not even Thanksgiving yet. ...This better mean we get a white Christmas. Also, body? It's really not necessary to wake me up around two-thirty AM for no particular reason. I need that sleep. Also also, I picked up FFX for cheap the other day (oh my god, another RPG, why do I do this to myself) and my only salient observation so far is that Tidus is so Cheetor it's not even funny. She was actually quite polite once she had me pinned down. And all this was after I dreamed I was a very small sprite in a pantheon of cat-goddesses who lived in what looked like the Sleeping Forest from FF7: AC, and apparently I did something Rite because I was rewarded. ...With pregnancy. *huddles under blankets* *...pokes hand out to wave bitty white flag* [15 Nov 2008|06:11pm] raisedbymoogles [ mood | disappointed ] It was pouring down rain when I got off the Metro stop, but I zipped up my jacket like a brave moogle and headed out anyway. It wasn't hard to find the Capitol building - once you see the dome you're halfway there, anyway - but skipping across slick black streets while the rain collects on your glasses is another matter entirely. I contented myself with the thought that everyone else would be in the same boat (not literally, one hoped) and there's got to be some karmic points awarded for suffering for a good cause. And so, with damp jeans and high hopes, I crossed the street to the front of the Capitol building and found... nothing. I guess the rain drove justice away after all. I'd arrived a little late, but not that late. Just in case, I wandered up and down the National Mall, keeping my eyes open for any hint of rainbow flags. I saw some Free Tibet protesters, but no Free Marriage. Eventually I admitted defeat and took some pictures before finding my way back home, my furry butt thoroughly kicked. *sigh* So, yes. Mhhh. *stuffs face in pillow* [10 Nov 2008|07:18pm] raisedbymoogles [ mood | disappointed ] [ music | Fading Entity - OCRemix ] I got my first Lecture at work today. What happened was, when you work on Sundays, you just do your thing and get out, rather than staying 'til noon-thirty like most days. I had thought Saturdays were like that too, so I had left before ten-thirty. And, uh, yeah. I got Called To The Office for that one. *facepalm* It's fine, I'm not really upset, just a little chagrined. And really, considering I've been fired for less, I have no room to complain. ;P So my job is going well enough, all things considered. I even made friends with a cat who only last week wanted to kill me. (There's still that surly Himalayan who hates me, but as he hates everybody I don't take it personally.) I'm just... restless, I suppose. And a little disappointed. I have to admit I thought that all my problems would be over once I graduated, but... it's been over four months now, my student loans are coming due and I haven't even gotten a callback for a job in my field. I've been throwing my resume at every company I could find since I moved here, and not one of them has even given me a second glance. I went ten thousand dollars in debt to get my associate's, and here I am shoveling poo for nine bucks an hour. I'd be better off right now if I'd just stayed a college dropout. ...okay, I really thought typing this out would make me feel better. *groans and headdesks* Right. Shake it off, moogle. the *****INTERVIEW!!!***** [10 Nov 2008|01:13am] lteagleeyes [ mood | nervous ] [ music | Out of My Heart, Into Your Head - BBMak ] Ack, I missed the blog for yesterday :( Geesh, that's bad blog day #2, and I couldn't even get one LOL :P Well, today, I basically slept in til 1:30 pm LOL and when I did get up, I went grocery shopping with my mom, that;s cool :) I went skating again today with my sis for the Rhythm and Retro night :D - They didn't play as many good songs but the highlights were "Dancing Queen" and "Funkytown", and they played this 80s song that I'd never heard before, but I liked it :) Soo... the interview is tomorrow! I am SOOOOO nervous :$ If you guys wouldn't mind praying about it, I'd really appreciate it! Heidy Ho neighbors! ;) [08 Nov 2008|07:26pm] lteagleeyes [ mood | accomplished ] [ music | Huckabee on Fox News ] What's shakin' everyone? I've made a resolution: I'm going to try to blog everyday :) Long or short, sadly I've been neglecting my blog :( The biggest thing going on right now, is a full-time position has opened up at the library! :D I've applied for it, and I have an interview Monday, and I'm really nervous! I feel pretty confident, 'cause I know I can do the job, and I think I have a good shot at it (esp. if one of my co-workers doesn't try for it.) Some of the biggest reasons right now that I want this job is the money. Not 'cause I'm greedy, but it will allow me to save easier and more for a car, to help pay off my brace payments (which are my biggest expense), and to make things a little easier. Also, I won't have to get 2 part-time jobs, which makes things much easier! :) My brother is also going for a full-time library position, and I really hope he gets it! :) - He's excited about, and it would give him better benefits :) I'm working on moving my hosting to HostGator, which so far, I'm really happy with! :D I was using 1&1 hosting, but I wasn't able to run Coppermine & 4images to the full extent of the programs due to, I believe, memory limitations with their PHP, and with HostGator, so far I haven't had those problems, save for 1 picture :) - Also CPanel is much easier and allows for a lot more control than 1&1 :) But if you ever get a web hosting site & domain, I don't recommend registering the domain with your hosting company, as it's kinda easy in the end to have them set up in separate places :) I know I've been a bit absent in commenting some of your all's entries, but I have been reading them :) I hope you all have a rockin' Sunday!! :D *Huggles all around!* ^_^ And I got approved for 0% APR credit card so I can use for my braces if needed, yay! :D I went to the Disney/Family skate today with my sis, Lauree, and we had a good time! They played so JoBros songs, and some good Disney/Nick stuff :D I did a bit more tricks/dancing on my skates this time, and did better skating overall with them :) ~* Kelly post comment
