Styling InsaneJournal
For a long time, I've used a browser extension that lets you install user styles for any website. That means you can write your own css for a site and apply it to only you. For me, this comes in handy because my eyes are very sensitive to bright lights, and a lot of people seem to think designing websites that look like light bulbs are a good idea. I use Stylish [Firefox] [Chrome] to install styles or write my own, if I use the site often enough and need something readable.
I'm sure you've already figured out that I've written my own style for IJ and I'm posting it here for others to use. Though it should be important to note it's a style specifically for my tastes and I'll make more with a variety of colour options at a later time.
It also affects the links in journals. Fixing this in the code would take a long time for me to figure out and a manual fix is much quicker: click the stylish icon and turn the style off temporarily. Turn it back on when you're on a normal IJ page again. This IS on my to-do list, but I'm not sure when that will be yet...
The rich text editor isn't styled. You can still use it, but I just don't know how to style that thing. If anyone knows, let me know, pls. I use the HTML editor to make most of my posts so I never even notice the difference personally.
Another thing you may want to note is that in some tables [like in the Support Area] that have different colours used in their tables have all that colour removed, as that's the only way I know how to style it so it's readable
