The rain was coming down and Faith was on the run; she had run away from home, then foster home, and never looked back.
Blinking in the rain, she saw her imaginary friend Alex, “You need a place to stay,” she said, waving her over to the back of a building.
Pulling a coat she had stolen from a unlocked car, she took off running after Alex, “Faith, you need to break in, they’ll never know cause it’s in the back.”
Faith shook her head, “How?” she looked around, trying to work out how to break the window.
“Use your jacket and punch it,” Alex advised Faith.
Shivering, she took her jacket off, wrapped it around her fist, and hit the window. “Son of a bitch!” she moaned out loudly.
“Shush,” Alex whispered, “try it again.”
Faith hit the window again, but no such luck. “Fuck,” she groaned “I should have used a rock.”
Faith, not realizing the Alex wasn’t real, said, “Hand me a rock, Alex.” She unwrapped the jacket and then held her hand out.
“I’m not Alex and I’m not handing you a rock,” a voice retorted and Faith looked up to see Alex no where in sight and a taller boy looking at her like she was insane.
“Oh…um,” she backed up, “I don’t want no trouble, I just looking for a place to stay with my friend.” She looked around, where did Alex go?
The boy gave her lazy grin, “You’re alone, sweetheart. What are you, nine?” he arched a brow.
But before Faith could answer, in the room next to the one Faith was trying to break into, the window open and a little boy's voice spoke up, “Dean?”
Dean rolled his eyes “Sammie, it’s fine, just a girl, I’ll be back in shortly, might need to call the cops.”
Her eyes widened, “Look, I’ll just go, alright,” she moved to walk by him, putting her jacket on, only she bumped into him to pickpocket him.
However, he was quick too and grabbed her hand, “Oh I don’t think so, give it back!” He yanked her back to stop her from leaving.
Suddenly, in a reflex that she didn't even try to figure out, she yanked him into her and she brought her knee to hit him in the gut.
He groaned to the hit, but didn’t release her, “What are you super girl? You ain’t getting it!” Instead, they both slipped in the mud, wrestling against each other.
“Dean!” Sam's voice cried from the window, scared for his brother, since all her could do was hear the scuffle.
Suddenly Dean hopped up, lifting Faith so her back was pressed against his chest, her feet kicking the air as she demanded “Put me down, asshole!”
“No way in hell,” he commented as he walked around to the front.
Faith started to scream, “Help me, help me!” to try to get some attention from people who might be staying in the hotel.
A door cracked open and Dean muttered “Bitch,” but then as he wrestled with her, he looked over at the person. “Sorry, my little sister, she ran away, just taking her back to the room.”
“I’m not his sister! He’s kidnapping me,” Faith insisted as she wiggled in his arms.
Dean shook her head “Kids these days, luckily, my little brother is the calm one, don’t know if I could handle two wild ones.”
The person just glared at them, “Shut her the hell up then, got a twelve hour drive tomorrow.”
“Fuck you, I’m being kidnapped,” Faith snapped back at him, but he just shut the door as Dean covered her mouth.
Dean moved to the room he and Sam were staying in and kicked it open with his foot and after the door opened, he moved them in and shut the door with his hip.
As soon as he went to close the door, Faith bit his hand, and when he dropped her, she stomped on his foot, making her way to the door.
That's when she heard the gun cock, and with wide eyes, she turned around to see the youngest boy with a gun pointed at her. “Whoa…” she held her hands up and stopped dead in her tracks.
“She bit me!” Dean proclaimed and then sighed at Sam with the gun, “Give me that,” he commented as he walked over to his brother to take it away from him. “You know you are not suppose to mess with that.”
Faith looked between them, “What the hell are you two, some back country, gun toting, hillbillies?”
Sam looked apologetically at Dean as he handed over the gun and then sneered at Faith, “No, we are the Winchesters.”
Dean cocked the gun, and looked over at Faith, “And you have something that belongs to us.”
Instantly the wallet was flung on one of the beds, “There…” she commented, but then she noticed they were in the middle of eating pizza. She licked her lips; when was the last time she had that?
Sam nodded his head and then looked at Dean, who was looking at what Faith, “You are a runaway…huh?”
He understood now why Faith tried to take his wallet.
“None of your damn business, can I bounce or what?” she snapped back as she snapped her head at him. “I have a friend to find.”
“Yeah, but why don’t you eat, clean up first, and wait the rain out? This is Sam and I’m Dean," he said with an annoyed sigh. He wasn’t heartless, not yet at least. “If you wait the storm out, we can help you look for your friend when it stops raining.”
She nodded her head, “Whatever,” she eyed the pizza again as her stomach growled.
Dean shook his head, she had a bad attitude, but she looked like she needed help. “Want?”
Nodding her head, she stepped toward the box, got a slice, and started to munch on it.
Sam looked at Dean questionably and then looked back to the muddy girl, munching on the pizza, “Who are you?”
“My bad,” she said with a mouth full, and then smiled at the boys, “Yo, my name is Faith.”
