Monroe, my sister needs a place to stay while the buildings are being fixed- maybe beyond that. Since my room isn't getting used, I gave her my key. Hopefully the place is in one piece? Her name's Audrey, and she's a pain in the ass, but don't give her too much crap. Nevermind, Monroe. You get to keep the apartment to yourself for a bit longer. Tell me it's still in one piece?

I'm just really glad that the most valuable thing I owned aside from the Grimmerie, my laptop, was with me through that whole mess. Because I'm pretty sure most everything else is going to have to be scrapped. Between the weather blowing in through the broken windows and the general mayhem left behind by those things, my apartment is trash.

Sometimes, I get the feeling that I'm being punished for something I haven't even done yet.

You know that "wait three days to call" rule? Does that apply to illegitimate children who are no longer children? I keep thinking I should continue letting him alone to process, but it's been a while now. I feel like a jerk.

Toys for Tots and Christmas Coat Drive

It seems that several of my co-workers aren't as generous as I'd like them to be, so I'm appealing to my neighbors, friends, acquaintances and perfect strangers. I'm collecting toys and coats for kids who don't have it quite as well as the rest of us. The turn out at work has been mildly pathetic, They had no problems bringing 8 year old cans of green beans to the food drive. Toys and coats are apparently too much work.

If you're feeling in the giving spirit this year please leave an unwrapped toy in the bin, or your gently used coats in the bin next to it.

I've put the bins in the lobby at Bathos.I'll be in charge of emptying them and taking them to the appropriate places as need be.

It's only a few days until Christmas, lets try and make it special for those less fortunate.

[In the background, there is the faint sound of music. Then comes Bly's voice as he rocks out to this song at the top of his lungs. He doesn't realize the communicator is on.]

Johnny was making his way out of the building and down into the parking garage, he was stepping off the elevator when he opened the comm link, looking around to make sure no one was around. He'd kept the link Max had sent him, he was technically back on the job, and made sure Oracle knew it, but he hadn't talked to anyone yet.

[there is an echo, typical of a parking garage]

I was sitting here thinking to myself that in the past 30 days I have been beat up, shot, found out I had a nearly grown child, found out the girl I love doesn't quite feel that way about me but seems to be more involved with someone else, quit being a vigilante, decided to start being a vigilante again, and to top it all off this morning the kitchen sink flooded.

I liked it better when I was boring.
