[After this.]
[This is printed in the Seattle Times' Saturday midday edition, byline Max Main. Residents of Aubade can expect the building to be surrounded by police on Saturday, and they can expect to be questioned as they come and go. Additionally, apartment 101 is roped off and appears to be the center of police activity.]
MURDER IN AUBADE [Photo of Aubade exterior, Saturday morning.] Isolde Lyons, 21, was found dead in her Aubade apartment early Saturday morning. The Medical Examiner onsite placed the time of death as late Friday evening to early Saturday morning. The building, located in the most affluent area of Seattle and offering electronic and physical security measures, has never been the site of a violent crime before. Security footage obtained from the building reveals nothing telling, and the security guard, who claims he was at his post all evening, saw no one enter or leave with Lyons. Lyons was discovered tied to her bed with injuries to the wrists, suspected to be defensive wounds. The Medical Examiner suggested the death might be caused by cardiac arrest, due to shock, based on the facial features of the victim. There was also dehydration present, which has not been explained at this time. An autopsy will be required. A note, left beside the victim, has been sent off forensic investigation. It bore the words Who's next? in what appeared to be the victim's blood. Aubade management, who was reached for comment before the publication of this morning's edition, informed the Seattle Times that they would be increasing security to the building in the coming days.
