Dean gave him a worried look, then, the first one since he'd gotten back from Purgatory. Okay, he felt bad now. Really bad. Sam hated this more than he'd ever really known, but he didn't like seeing his brother this upset over it, even if he was still quite calm.
Reaching out, he gripped his little brother's shoulder and held his gaze. "So, what, we just quit? I know how much crap has been thrown at us, man, but I also know we don't just quit. I can't just quit. You and I both know running away doesn't work. We've both done it." And they both lost people in the process.
Sam found normalcy and it was gone, again, because of him, and he wasn't even sure how to make this all okay now.
