...that moment when you know your other self is suffering exactly like you did but you know yourself and you know that reaching out will only make it worse. This sucks, now I feel like a dick for all the times I hated on her because she had them and I was going through all the crap with Scott and Dave and Kit and bleh.

After the first week of school as a sophomore at UCLA, I've come to recognize that freshman girls are super easy to spot on campus and I didn't notice while I was a freshman, because I was too busy being one. I have come to the conclusion that any time I see another girl with her hair in a messy bun, wearing yoga pants, she's an upperclassman. On the other hand, if I see perfectly curled hair, a tiny skirt, and a belly shirt or an adorable but obviously uncomfortable dress at 7:30am with flawless makeup...she's a freshman. Ahhh I don't miss the urge to wake up at 5am just to make sure I looked perfect in front of a bunch of other music geeks who were mostly other girls and really didn't care.

Also, what is Yik-Yak? Is that a big thing in 2015 that faded into oblivion by my time or...do I just have very eccentric classmates?

Ah, okay. So that's why I had the keys to the clinic and nothing else on me when I got here. ...I can't decide if I'm relieved that I'll have something to do or annoyed that this place won't even let me just try to pretend I happen to be on a vacation without my husband. On the plus side, apparently it also felt it important to bring the bank account with me — not mine, of course, because that would be too easy; the company bank account — so I guess that means I should hire some people to help me out and tentatively take over the clinic for a month or two when Evangeline comes...

That said...anybody interested in cleaning cages, walking dogs, filing and doing other mostly monotonous, slightly gross, and yet somehow still adorable work at an animal clinic? Experience obviously preferred, but not having any isn't necessarily a deal breaker. Or, even better, any other vets or vet techs around here? I'd love to not be the only medical professional here...
