Even though there were alternate earth citizens arriving daily, it still didn't mean Batman was allowed to slacken off in his other duties. The roar of the Batmobile's engine had dulled to a mere echo in the cave's depths as Batman exited the vehicle and made his way to the large computer, pulling off his gauntlets as he went and placing them on the desk by the keyboard. He sat heavily in the chair behind the desk. Patrol was getting harder with the doppelgangers turning up causing double the trouble and the Justice League's resources were getting stretched pretty thin.
Batman barely laid a finger on the keyboard before he heard a familiar voice filter through the cave. The vigilante didn’t need to look over his shoulder to know who had entered the cave. Each of his boys took the stairs in a different manner. Nightwing was lighter on his feet, always taking the steps at a faster, slightly buoyant pace even when he wasn’t in the best of moods- almost like he was constantly using a springboard. The cheerful manner of greeting, however, indicated Nightwing was in a good mood.
He turned in his chair, standing to his full height, eyes spotting Dick first and then drifting to the man that followed him. "I knew it would only be a matter of time before one of you would show up."
