Char/Pair: Hojo
Prompt: Alchemy

One couldn't just inject random cells into a body an expect them to do anything other than die to the host's natural defenses. The foreign cells had to be protected somehow, either by fooling the host's defenses or by overwhelming them. Hojo knew that mako was somehow the key, but it took a lot of experimentation to figure out the exact proportions. It was a kind of alchemy, the repetition of formula with one minor change.
Finally, he had what he considered the right dosage, and even had a willing subject. With the same cold precision that he applied to everything else in his life, Hojo injected a large needle into the body of the woman who was carrying his child, and overwhelmed the fetus with the JENOVA cells. He looked forward to seeing the results.
