TO ALL STUDENTS,

Due to the recent violence and the increased security fears expressed by both students and staffs, The Headmistress is announcing today new security measures designed to ensure the safety of all students. These measures are not intended to interfere with your academic or social lives, but rather to ensure that all students are protected to the best of our ability and that Hogwarts remains a safe-haven from violence for its students.

A strict curfew of nine o'clock in the evening shall be enforced for all students Year One to Year Five. For all NEWT-level students, the curfew will be eleven o'clock in the evening. This means that no student shall be seen outside their common room after this hour. (Astronomy students will be given a note vouching for their whereabouts by Professor Sinistra, and all students younger than fifth year will have to be taken to the tower by a Prefect.)
No student shall be allowed out of doors after sunset, unless accompanied by a staff member.
Although Quidditch games will continue as normal, students are instructed to be vigilant in looking out for their own safety, and that they must immediately return to the castle upon conclusion of the game. Quidditch Captains are instructed to remain in the locker room with their teams after the games, and teams are to return to the castle collectively.
If you see or suspect anything suspicious, please immediately report it to your Head of House, Professor Podmore, or the Headmistress.
There will be a meeting this evening in the Prefect Office at eight o'clock to discuss these new security measures. All Prefects and Quidditch Captains are required to attend.
