Summary: While out on patrol, Lily is accosted by an unseen assailant. Put into a body bind, she is then carted to an empty classroom and blindfolded. Her captor then begin to strip her after binding her to the wall. Anticipating a rape, Lily attempts to bargain him down to a blowjob. While her captor had no intention of raping her, he agrees to the 'bargain'. Afterward, he tries to keep Lily's clothes and wand, and while she does 'ask nicely' for her shirt, he threatens her physically when she asks for her skirt. She uses the proximity to knee him in the balls and escape with her skirt and wand.

Summary: While daydreaming and working on an extra-credit potion, Lily inadvertently creates a great deal of smoke. While chasing it out of the potions classroom, she encounters one James Potter who comes in to keep her company while she tries the potion again. She asks why he's there, reasoning he was trying to nick something from what should have been an empty classroom, though when James confesses he was trying to make a love potion for McGonagall, Lily doesn't believe him. Still, the topic shifts to love potions, his advances on her, and the upcoming Hogsmeade trip. Once she's done with her potion, Lily allows James to escort her back to the tower, whereupon they share a goodnight kiss before retreating to their respective dorms.

After a very bumpy start involving suspicion and heated words, the two settle down and decide to go for a walk. Joking a little, like they used to as kids, they walk toward the lake. In the shadow of the trees, while still trying to sort things out, they share a kiss.

Summary: Lily's in the library, working on her transfiguration homework when she's interrupted joined by James Potter. James offers help with her homework, which she declines. When he inquires about her day, she starts to go on about her imaginary wedding to Fabian, though James 'talks her out of it' by pointing out Fabian and Gideon lied about there not being an application process for husbands. There is a bit of further teasing as Lily invites James to wait for her in a certain chair in the commons so she'll snog him later - though she has no intent of doing so and is certain he knows that.

Summary: Mary and Lily settle in for a picnic near the lake to chat and catch up. Conversation eventually turns to boys, and Mary encourages Lily to give James a chance, and Lily finds herself considering it. Lily almost confides about her ... issues ... with Severus, but in the end keeps it to herself.

Summary: While studying the bit of potion she's about to turn in, Lily is startled by Severus commenting on her potion. After a few cool snarks at one another, Lily mentions the unsigned comments in her journal and asks him to help her find out who was behind it. The conversation circles predictably if obliquely toward Death Eaters and how the comments likely aren't a joke.

As they continue to talk, they're both beset with conflicting feelings as old habits war with new grudges. As they head out of class, Severus offers her another warning about trusting death eaters, and she asks if she shouldn't trust him. When he replies that he doesn't know, she parts company with him, though he comes to find her. He assures her she can trust him before they head - separately - to their next class.

Summary: While reflecting by the lake, Lily is approached by Fabian who is - supposedly - there to catch lunch for Gideon after losing a bet. He and Lily chat a bit before he decides to try to bring Lily in to Gideon in place of a fish in the hopes that she'll buy his freedom. All in good fun, of course.

Melissandre Flint, Peter Pettigrew
In an attempt to figure out how to best spy and recruit, Melissandre settles down on a bench where she can watch people coming through the barrier. She encounters Peter Pettigrew, whose trunk is open and papers are flying all about. She points this out to him, and they briefly engage in small talk and introductions before Meli 'chases' him off by pointing out James and Sirius are probably waiting for him on the train.

Tree IV:
Gilderoy Lockhart, Kingsley Shacklebolt
Gil is depressed at being stuck in black robes again - though Kingsley is quick to point out he can wear the colorful ones on Hogsmeade trips. In the spirit of pretending he's actually interesting, Gilderoy spins a few tall tales about his summer mountain climbing in Tibet. He does manage a (mostly) honest retelling of his encounter with Lucius in Flourish and Blotts, and Kingsley jokes that Lucius was probably confounded by Gil's colorful robes and that's why Gil was mistaken for an employee.

Tree VI:
Mary, Xenophilius
Mary gets herself settled into a compartment and is slipping out into the hall to see who else is around when she bumps into Xeno, who had his head in a book. After initial apologies, Mary heads off to wash her hands, and tells Xeno he can head into her compartment and they can hang out, if he wants. He does, and the two converse in idle chitchat about the cleanliness of the windows, what they did over the summer, and Quidditch - which Xeno doesn't understand. Mary says she'll sit with him at a game sometimes to help explain it to him. Then, the two commence a game of chess to pass the time.

Tree VII:
Cait, Severus, Regulus
Severus is trying to avoid everyone on the train when he is joined by Caitlyn who is secretly hoping to find Regulus. After a brief and uncomfortable conversation, Cait somehow convinces Severus to try and teach her some of the Dark Magic he knows in exchange for a new Arithmancy book and for her being something of a guinea pig by trying them out. Eventually Regulus joins them and there is yet another brief, uncomfortable exchange, and then they all decide reading is a better option than talking.

Summary: Lily returns to Diagon alley to shop for a kitten and is (unfortunately) accosted by her favorite classmate. James makes something of a pest of himself in the kitten-purchasing procedure and manages not to score any points in his attempts with Lily. She does finally manage to get away, but his abrupt, uncharacteristic departure throws her a bit.

Summary: While standing in Diagon Alley, contemplating where to start her shopping, Lily encounters Regulus when he bumps into her. The two snark a bit before Sirius shows up, much to Lily's dismay. The Black brothers go at each other a bit over Sirius' textbooks that had been rescued from a rubbish bin before a frustrated Regulus gives up and wanders off.

Left alone with Sirius, Lily is unsurprised when the topic of James comes up. Sirius inquires if there's anything going on James should know about, and Lily sarcastically shares that she and Regulus are wedding because Regulus is trying to out-rebel Sirius. Talk shifts more directly to James and his admiration of Lily before Sirius heads out to finish up his shopping, promising to tell James that he hasn't yet mastered the 'madly in love' vibe.
