She could feel, as the moments go by, her memory eroding slowly. Little things, here and there were just slipping away.... and she knew she couldn't possibly have long. That, coupled with the niggling feel of the call from assistance had her swallowing down a growing feeling of franticness. She needed to go see about setting things in motion, to make sure they'd be ok once she was useless to most of Olympus again... but she wanted, more than anything, to stay with Morph until she had to go. it just wasn't, wasn't fair.

"I... I need to go do something. And you need to do this, and figure out if your realm is ok. I shouldn't be log, and I will try to come back. And if I can't, well... You need to know. No, I need you to know I loved you. I love you now. And ... I'm going to try." She smiled at Morpheus, leaning in to offer a lingering kiss before she disappeared, arriving on her sister's door step.

With a knock that was hesitant at first, then growing towards demanding, she finally pushed the door open and stepped inside, calling out to the sister she knew was here.

"Ate? ATE."

it took a moment, all things considered, to realize there was someone else in the house, someone looking for her. It took another moment for her to realize it was something important if Lethe was arriving in such a manner.

With a groan she pushed absently at Momos' shoulder, pushing him away from her as she pulled her head away from his, legs sliding their way back to the floor of the shower. "Baby.. stop... we need to stop. Someone's here."

Fuck. Fuck. FUCK. He was so close, so was she! Damn it.

"Jesus, Ate." He tried to hold her to him, but she was slippery. She was out of his grip before he could stop her, leaving him hot, hard and wanting. His head fell back against the shower wall and his hands bunched in frustration.

"Couldn't we just ignore whoever it is?"

"If it was Neikos or Kia or the twins, yes... Limos, maybe. Hori and Elpis, rarely.... but this is Lethe. She never visits. It's not social."

She was distracted as she talked, reaching out for a towel to rub briskly over herself, finally looking at him and seeing his... less than pleased state.

"Oh... baby. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you."

Reaching in she grabbed for the hair at the nape of his neck, pulling him close enough for a quick kiss, making certain to keep out of his reach.

"She's looking for me, not you. wanna stay here?"

She smiled, just a bit too sweet as she dropped the towel and pulled on her robe.

"Allright. Don't be too long... hate to see you get all pruned."

Deftly she reached in and quickly turned the temperature knob from steaming to chilly, sliding quickly out of the room toward her sister.

Lethe looked up as ate entered, moving over to her then stopping abruptly, fingering her hair and wringing her hands a bit.

"Ate. Hi... you're wet. You were busy. I'm sorry. I ... the stuff I gave you for Elpis. Did you give it to her? it's important."

She bit her lower lip, a soft frown on her face as she concentrated on making sure the important stuff wasn't what was slipping away.

"I could go."

"JESUS, ATE!"

Oh, she was gonna pay for that one. Well, it took care of the urgency he was feeling. He left the shower without having to take care of his issue but it left him with a major case of blue balls.

He toweled off, and dressed in a pair of faded blue jeans and a white button down shirt. He step out of the bathroom and moved to where Ate and Lethe were.

"Hello, Lethe. It's been awhile."

"No, Lethe... I wasn't busy. Just in the shower..."

She moved the rest of the way to Lethe and tugged lightly on one of her blonde locks, tilting her head down.

"I haven't seen Elpis yet... I still have it. What's wrong?"

She glanced up as She heard Momos, flashing a smile at him. He lookd damn fine.

She looked up as well as Momos stepped in, blinking at him in confusion for a moment before manners kicked in.

"I... Yes. Hello, Momos. How are you?"

"I was better before your sister decided to douse me in cold water. But that's neither here nor there. Please, continue your conversation. I'm going to go make myself a drink. Would you ladies like something?"

He winked at Lethe, and locked hot eyes with Ate, promising her retribution and so, SO much more.

"Wine, doll... two glasses."

She smirked lightly, toes threatening to curl as he gave her A Look, forcing her attention to focus on Lethe, jaw tightening just a bit. It sounded like there was trouble... she hated when they had trouble.

"Lethe... you need to calm down, just a tad hon. I gotta say I'm surprised you gave me stuff to give Hope... memory looks good on you. C'mon... tell me what's going on, and how I can help."

She might be known as one of the biggest bitches on - well, off- Olympus, but when it was family? None of the regular rules applied.

"Cold water? Ate, that's not nice. Wait..."

She blinked again as the fact that they were both wet and there was cold water slowly clicked in her hear, eyes going wide. "Oh. OH. I'm sorry... I didn't... but..."

She swallowed as she took in Ate's expression, and nodded slowly. "I remember for now. But I might not. And She really needs that information, because I just can't do it, Ate. I should, and it's my responsibility, and I know that, and it's just not fair." She took a deep breath. "Can you make sure she gets it? Please."

Momos left to go get the wine and poured himself a whiskey, two fingers, and down it, pouring two more to take out with him. He was gonna need it.

Returning to the room, he handed both Lethe and Ate their wine, before reclining on the couch, waiting to help if he could.

"Lethe. Stop apologizing, and just tell me what the hell is going on? I'll give your stuff to Elpis, but what are you prattling on about?"

Her entire form slowly tensed, deceptively nonchalant as she took the glass of wine and took a sip. Someone, it seemed, was still messing with her sister, and Deimos was not too big and mighty to smack down if needed.

"What can't you do? I need you to make some sense."

She nodded again as she took the wine, drinking the glass in one long pull.

"It's not what you think. It's nothing like that. I don't know how much you read, but it's not important." She had to assume that if Ate or Limos had read that far, they'd have mentioned the baby to her by now. "I'm sorry if I am not making sense, But I just don't want everyone involved. I don't want anyone involved. And I can't be involved, because I won't remember. Just... I don't ask a lot, Ate. Please?"

"No. I guess you don't."

She struggled not to show her annoyance... there was obviously a problem, one that she was being told to stay out of. Something that obviously affected her family, if it was enough to get Lethe agitated. She remembered well what her sister was like before the River... and couldn't recall ever seeing her so agitated. Not important, her ass... this was big. And Lethe didn't want her help.

"Right. I'll see that she gets it right away. Lethe...You know you're not alone, right?"

"Thank you."

It was good to not have to answer questions. She reached forward and wrapped her arms tight around her sister's neck, ignoring the fact that Ate wasn't returning the embrace.

"I know. You never let me forget I'm not. Thank you for that, too."

She stepped back and smiled a bit shyly as she took in Momos watching them on the sofa.

"I um.. I'll let you do that, then. And get back to what you were doing. And Ate... Cold water? Really not nice. I'll see you soon, ok?"

"Yeah, you will. Don't worry, hon. I've got you back. And he can handle ice."

She looked at her sister a moment before tugging her close and kissing her cheek, before pushing her lightly toward the door.

"Scram."

She nodded as Lethe waved and slipped out the door, then took another long sip of her wine.

She was not pleased.

Momos watched as Ate and Lethe spoke, he had no idea what it was all about, but he knew from watching Ate that she was irritated Lethe wouldn't tell her what was going on.

When Lethe left, he nodded to her, but his eyes remained focused on Ate.

"What was all that about?"

She watched the door for a moment, careful to keep her temper under wraps as she looked at him, gaze calculating as the cogs in her head worked their way around what info she had.

"Apparently... She doesn't want my help."

As far as Ate was concerned, this was personally insulting.

She eyed him lightly, one brow arching lightly. Her head was full...trying to decide what was going on with Lethe, if Limos still had that diary, if he'd read any further than the attacks, what did Elpis have to do with it all, and how was she involved, what was the responsibility that Lethe was shirking...

"Nothing. Why?"

She just had to remind herself that it was absolutely pointless to get annoyed at Lethe. Being mad at someone who didn't remember served no purpose.

"Seems I need to ask for a raincheck. I have a task."

He didn't believe her when she said there wasn't anything going on in her head. You could hear the wheels turning from where he was sitting.

"Oh, just curious. What was all that about reading? You read something about Lethe?"

He stood up and moved in front of her.

"A raincheck is fine. A task? Would you like some help?"

"Reading? Oh... No. I read noting... Limos is the one who was reading. Gotta wonder how far he got. I think I'll have to check on it... After my task. You don't have to come with me... it's a family thing. Wait here?"

She tapped his chest lightly, then strode down the hall purposefully, returning to the living room in about 3 minutes fully dressed in a typical outfit... black jeans, boots, long sleeved black turtleneck. In her hand she carried a small satchel, studying a weird glass bubble in her hands.

"Ever see one of these?"

"But reading what?" He called after her bemused by her distractedness. Although tempted to follow after her, he stayed where he was and conjured a dark brown leather jacket and brown leather boots to complete his outfit.

When she came back in the room, he took in her outfit with approval before being distracted by her question.

"Nope. What is it?"

She waved her hand a bit, brushing it aside as she looked from him to the globe with a shrug.

"I think it's a memory globe... Mnemosyne has a kajillion of them. So why does sister oblivion want me to give them to hope?"

She scowled at the glass bubble in her hand. "God I hate it when they do this."

"Yeah... and while that might be technically true? It's not like we're that close knit in that sort of way, is it? I meant... family family. Not... random relatives you run into occasionally family."

She smirked lightly, and pat his arm lightly.

"I have no idea how to watch it. And I don't know if I should. Could be a bit like spying..."

Absently, she held the one bubble up and squinted, peering into it. "What are they up to, do you think?"

"Well, I hope I've garnered more than random relative status. But touche." After all, he had no idea how Eris' 500 kids managed to stay so close, it wasn't as if he was close with his siblings.

He mirrored her squinting at the bubble, then shrugged.

"I don't know, but it sounds like you have three options. One, give it to Elpis and make her tell you what's up. Two, figure out away to watch it, spying or no spying. Or, three. You could find Lethe and make her tell you what's going on."

Leaning into him lightly, she tilted her head up to nip at his earlobe before stepping quickly away and taking a seat on the sofa.

"I know you probably can't tell us all apart, but Lethe was the one who was just here? Super frantic? All please don't answer questions I never ask anything? So option 3 is a bust. Elpis though... She's easy to get answers out of. Except She's got the thing with Eris and Apollo to deal with, and won't she be happy when she hears what's up with them, right? And so my options are really to either figure it out, or forget it all and drag you back to bed."

Her studying of the bubble gave indication of what she thought of that option, and she frowned as she watched the scene inside.

"It's some guy playing guitar. What the fuck?"

Both his eyebrows lifted in surprise when she exclaimed something about a guitar.

"I thought you didn't know how to work it?"

"But dragging you back to bed means breaking more than one promise. So that's going to have to be plan C."

She looked away from the the globe and offered him a half-hearted glare, then handed it back to him.

"I obviously don't know how to do it... just look at it... put your eye right up to it. It's some guy playing guitar in some fucking band. That can't really be what she wants me to show Elpis, is it? that makes no sense. And what does it have to do with what Limos read?"
