Back to Normal (aka: no more hiding)
Finally. Philotes could go out in public. With no offense meant to Gods Who Did That Sort Of Thing, Lotus was done with being the chaste homebody that she'd become over the last... well, however long it was. She could feel the need to touch, to interact, to BE. The urge to be in public, to talk to people, was overwhelming and she stood in front of the full-length mirror for the longest time. Boobs and legs and form fitting clothes were all on her agenda.

She left the house dressed to the nines and immediately saw the difference on Earth. Nothing was moving. Nothing was breathing or interacting or being. As she walked down various streets, her thoughts turned to other places she could go.

Like... a party. With a thought, she appeared in the middle of Eris' garden. A big smile and Friendship was ready to go. "Okay, who missed me?"

Kia's eyes narrowed. Oooh, Mom was trying to get info out of her about Ate and Momos. She wanted to tell SO BADLY. Damn Ate and her making her swear!

"Know what?" Right, because that was convincing. Luckily, Lotus showed up in the middle of Kia trying to figure out how to get out of this providing a distraction.

"Oh, it's Aunt Lotus!" She lifted her head and smiled at her mother. "There is a family member that doesn't hate you. Let's go say hello. I haven't seen her in forever."

"Nice diversionary tactic, poppet... but don't think i'm forgetting."

She stood gracefully and tugged Kia up beside her, smirking lightly as saw her older sister.

"She's not unlike Kakia... seems to get along with everyone. It's pretty unnatural."

Threading her arm throu Kia's, she walked over toward Lotus, offering a hint of a smile.

"Taking fashionably late a bit too far, don't you think? You've already missed the guests of honor and the entertainment."

"But I'm not a complete ~~loser~~ loner anymore," Lotus pointed out with a chipper tone. Nothing was getting her down at the moment. Nothing. She had on colorful clothes, a great smile and what made it all even better? Her sister and niece. "You have to admit, most of the last... whatever, has been a total downer."

Summoning a glass of white wine, Lotus took a sip and looked around the garden. "What was the entertainment?"

"Glasses are for wusses," Lotus said, smirking as she held out her hand for Kia's bottle. Alcohol! Oh, that was something she'd missed. Anything regarding FUN seemed to have disappeared off the map for far too long.

At the knowledge that Ate had laid one on Styx, she just shook her head. "When is Styx NOT being a heinous- Well, you know." Speaking ill of her not-so-favorite sister wasn't going to do her any good. The other goddess just refused to be friends. "Bitch."

She chuckled a bit, arms crossing as she eyed the two of them.

"Ate never was very good at following directions. None of you were... rotten kids, the lot of you."

Her tone teased as she smiled, absently glancing around the gardens and who remained.

"There's still food, I believe... though Father took the cake with him, it seems."

Lotus took a healthy swig from Kia's Jack, licked her lips and then took a more lady-like swallow from the bottle. It burned, of course, but the heat that appeared in her cheeks made it all worth while. That and the warm buzz that hit.

Eying her sister, Friendship smirked. With a look at Kia as she handed the bottle back, she said, "All kids are rotten." She beamed at Kia before the lack of cake was mentioned and her face fell. "No cake? Some party."

Once the bottle was back in her hands, she took a swig and offered it to her mother. "Show your wild side, Mom. Get a little snockered. I didn't get any cake either, Gramps hogged it all. She scrunched her nose, waving her hand absently as she dismissed the offer of the bottle of Jack. Even if she were to drink Whiskey, which she did not, it would not be in the form of swigging from the bottle.

"Hardly... not only was a perfect child who never caused a problem? My mother at least had the good sense to teach me manners. I don't know what the hades was wrong with yours."

She lifted her chin and looked down her nose at Kia, offering a passable imitation of Styx's usual expression, then cocked a brow and grinned, looking at her sister.

"Oh, not you too. Daddy had a fit about cake until we finally got him one, then he squirreled it away with him when he left... I was just getting used to him shining like a beacon, too."

	"Oh, Daddy was light?" That wasn't a small amount of joy on Lotus' face. Joy that her father no doubt had not shared in. "Betcha he loved that. Sorry I missed it." "Styx was married with mostly grown children by the time I was born. It wasn't like we were ever very close. She's not all bad, really. She has her moments." She shrugged lightly, keeping her expression straight. "But then, all of my sisters are pretty awful."

"Now brothers?" She grinned again. "Not all terrible. Than and Hyp were always very sweet."

The talk of cake was getting just a bit pervasive and a tad creepy. "Did I miss some new exciting thing about cake? Why is everyone so obsessed with it? Dad wanted it, mother promised it, Momos went off to find some, Ate had a fit, Styx yelled about it.. it's cake."

"You missed all the good stuff... Once everyone's powers went back to normal, people started t o leave. You missed Lethe, Morpheus, Ate, Momos, Styx, Thanatos, Zelos, Neikos and his girlfriend ... Mother and Daddy are upstairs. Wait... Thanatos and Selene?"

She looked sidelong at Kia. "Them you have gossip on..." Because Kia sure wasn't giving up the gossip Eris wanted to hear. "Interesting..."

	It wasn't that Lotus was a gossip hound. Not really. But she'd been in hiding for who knew how long and Daddy had been Light and who KNEW what else had happened. If that meant that she had to get some ~~gossip~~ knowledge from Kia, so be it. "Than and Selene?" Her grin was sly. "You don't say." Giving a look to Discord, Lotus added, "Don't stop there." She had very little interest in her brother's dating life... and as he seemed to have little interest in hers, it worked well for the most part. Sure, she was fond of Thanatos, but that wasn't the dish she wanted shared.

"I've every certainty that you'll manage to wheedle it out of him, particularly if you make a habit of getting him drunk... don't think I didn't see that. Of course, he's probably back to his normal self now. I'm sure there's got to be other... tidbits of information you can share?"

She just lifted a brow, knowing well enough that Kia knew what she wanted...and that Kia knew she knew what she wanted. Why couldn't her ids be as well-behaved and obedient as she was as a child?
