Spencer came home, fed Indigo, and then couldn't settle, so he headed down to the gym to work out. He set himself up on a treadmill, a random programme set for ten miles, and his iPod playing random tunes. He was jogging along quite happily when he saw the door open in the mirror, and someone else enter the gym. He raised a hand and waved in greeting, "Hi there."

Lara was on the dirty floor of the garage, trying to reach her keys, which had fallen under her car. But her arms were too short.

Lis was in the gardens, trying to get her chipmunk Winston to enjoy the sunshine from his cage. But Winston seemed to be in the mood for sleep.

Mark was in the game room, trying to kick some Elvira pinball ass. But he was sucking and rapidly running out of quarters.

Button was in the laundry room, trying to see if sealing her lingerie bags shut with duct tape would keep the dryer from losing her panties. But she didn't realize this was a horrible idea.

Button was waiting very patiently on the couch for her brother to come home. She had a magazine to keep her occupied, but she was almost too excited about the conversation she was planning on having with Cotton to actually pay attention to reading it. So it was a huge relief when she finally heard the door unlocking. She tossed the magazine down on the coffee table and clasped her hands together in her lap as she waited for him to come into the living room.

Button was all smiles as she headed into the mailroom. Her boyfriend Henry had been having a hard time since his jerk of a boss Stone Hawthorne fired him from both his store and his band, but Button had come up with a solution! A great idea! And that was worth smiling about. She just needed to think about how exactly she would propose this idea to her brother before she would say anything about it.

But thinking was hard, and fetching mail was easy. So that was pretty much the only thing on Button's mind as she pulled her keys out of her bag.

Erin had itchy feet for the upcoming trip, but it didn't do her any good to get the packing part done if her clothes needed washing. This evening, she was spending a couple hours downstairs, in the laundry, assuring that everything was washed.

Today was Oscar day! One of Button's many magazines had a big, unfoldable insert with all the Oscar nominees so that readers could check off the boxes for predicted winners. This was Button's favorite part about the Oscars. She had been checking off boxes since she was a little kid. And this year, Button was totally educated on movies. She had seen almost all of the Best Picture nominees, so she felt she could make educated decisions.

She was totally proud of herself about this, so she had a smile on her face at her table as she checked off her prediction that No Country For Old Men would win Best Picture. She'd thought it was totally boring, but everyone was saying it should win, so why not?
