Late morning; Garage; Deacon and OTA (MW)
He had the car. It had been delivered that morning and now sat in the Manor's custom mechanic garage. For several minutes Deacon just stared at it. He had the car.
Granted to most anyone else it probably looked like no big deal. The paint was worn, making the car look old and uncared for. That and at the moment it didn't run. And the interior needed some attention. But lifting the hood you could see that the engine was really in good condition. Nothing a bit of cleaning up and tinkering wouldn't fix. And Deacon might just update that part anyway. And there was the new transmission to be put in. Once that was done a fresh coat of paint and reupholster the interior and they'd be good to go.
Jack had come by as it was delivered and stared as well and Deacon had been pleased to find someone else that understood what he had in his hands now. Jack had volunteered his services a bit - apparently he'd done some mechanic work for a while - and Deacon had been happy to take him up on the offer. But for the moment Deacon had his new toy all to himself and he walked around her slowly, running a hand along her lines.
