Amarie sat outside the Auberge well wrapped because the day was cold and tapped away at her laptop. She had found someone on MSN Messenger who said they lived in the Manor and was really excited about it.
"I didn't know we had a librarian :)," she typed. "Come to that I didn't know we had a library LOLOLOL!"

Andy had her basket of laundry on her hip and her cane in her other hand and was taking the elevator down to the laundry. She was pissed and was inclined to react first and ask questions later.

Charlie stood at the window of the gallery and listened to Colette answering the phone - politely and concisely just as she had been shown - though his mind dwelled on the Manor and its inhabitants and what they might be going through.

Del had lost Eris again - not that he worried, she was by far more capable of looking after herself - so went up to the pool house for a change of scene. There was a lot of damage in the area and he couldn't help wondering what had caused it.

Leo took another mouthful of coffee, closed his eyes and rubbed them hard. Then he began to type again. He couldn't stop now. He'd been doing 15,000 words a day since finding he was trapped in the building. The story was there just flowing out of him. He HAD to get it down. Just HAD to.

Nick pushed the trolley into the staff lift and leaned on it, eyes drifting closed. Tiling and panes of reinforced glass - around the pool - paving slabs - for the roof garden - replacement carpets - Oh God for all over the fucking place.
He'd be working overtime for WEEKS.

Vincenzo left the security office and stood by the desk swaying with tiredness. He needed to sleep but found himself heading for the Mocha in the knee jerk reaction of a man who knows he can't afford to. He pushed the door open with his good arm. The other ached bone deep with a fieriness sharpness that made him stop every so often and catch his breath.
"Espresso," he growled to the barista, who didn't look much better than he did. "And a glass of water." Time for the next dose of antibiotics.
