(Alterna) Nassau: Friday throughout the day, Stone & Lara
Stone had been extremely reluctant to leave Poe behind to go to Nassau. She'd been acting strange and he was worried. But she was adamant about catching up with school works especially since she'd only recently gotten caught up after the beating incident - even though she was only a little behind because of that since it happened over the break. Still. At least, however, he'd convinced her that staying somewhere other than the penthouse, for obvious Patience reasons was good and Poe was currently in a presidential suite in a nice hotel with twenty-four hour security and Patience on the list of 'banned' visitors. She had a tutor to come and help after school with getting her caught up as well. With any luck she'd be there after a week or so. Stone had already called her twice even though he'd seen her before they left to fly to nassau.
Now they were situated in the villa on the beach, it was nice out. It was in the low eighties, limited humidity and a nice little breeze was coming off the water but it wasn't enough to make it too cool. It was private. There were no servants even though you could call to have house keepers sent or food ordered, whatever. Stone had tipped the driver that brought them there and then they carried the luggage they'd brought inside and to the master bedroom which was a second floor affair that had its own balcony facing the ocean on what was, according to the brochure and the travel person, a private beach. Nobody was on it so Stone figured that was true and the closest neighboring villas were a ways down to either side, separated by what looked like seawalls/jetties and maybe man-made dunes full of vegetation.
The master bedroom had a large wall of glass that framed the entrance to the balcony with a sliding door. The bed sat opposite the balcony glass wall view of the water. There was a TV in the corner on top of a tall set of bureaus. There was also a large closet and an even larger bathroom with both a shower and a large square jacuzzi set down into the ground as if it were an in-ground swimming pool...only inside, with jets. There were tons (too many) of other rooms that were more like suites into themselves. Under the balcony for the master bedroom was a bar that was off to the side of a large in ground pool, which also had a hot tub connected to it and a large lounging deck area that led out to the beach down a little walkway. Stone wondered why they didn't just up and move somewhere like here. It wasn't like they couldn't bring their friends and all to visit them whenever they wanted, or hell let them come move in if they really wanted.
Either way they dropped off their belongings in the corner of the room and had a brief look around said master bedroom before a makeout had occurred as makeouts did. This had been good because most of the flight was spent sleeping in the bedroom on the plane, for Stone anyway. He was still feeling pretty shitty and he was fairly tired of mostly everything; thinking about Gibson/the funeral, worrying about Poe when there was nothing he could do, the hassle from the media, the personal questions, attacks and insults that never seemed to stop pouring in, et cetera. He just wanted a break. It had seemed, once they landed and as they were progressing from makeouttown to sexville that this was the right place to take a break and maybe that was going to actually happen.
Except within a matter of fifteen minutes or more Stone wound up lying on his back and alternating between staring forlornly at the ceiling and glancing down to his general lap area. He frowned and moved the arm that was around Lara a little tighter, completely embarrassed and utterly bewildered by his lack of appendage functionality as he couldn't recall this ever being a problem for himself when Lara was concerned, even in his drunkest of drunk nights for a sexcapade. Should he chalk it up as stress? Or should he be completely paranoid and freaked out right now that his favorite organ was being uncooperative during very important activities? "...Sorry," He murmured quietly as he looked back down towards his lap again. He was going to say 'I have no idea what's wrong with me...' But that seemed kind of untrue since he knew what was wrong. He just couldn't get it off his mind now, apparently. This really sucked because he really had been looking forward to just enjoying a little island vacationing with Lara.
This really sucked. And not just in the 'getting some' department, but for the overall department of Stone's general well-being. Lara squeezed her arms around Stone and turned her head back so she could look up at him. "It's okay," she said, shaking her head before turning her head back down to kiss his side. "I'm not..." She didn't know what she was going to finish that sentence with, so she just followed up with a repeated, "It's okay." After a pause she looked at him again and added, "Are you okay?"
This was kind of a lot of bizarre, but it had to just be some weird little fluke brought on by all the shit that had been happening for the past month. That was all. Hopefully. Lara only knew how to make Stone feel better with sex, so it would be kind of bad if he had a problem getting it up.
That was totally not true. She knew how to make him feel better in other ways. It just so happened that he liked the sex route best. Except that seemed like it wasn't doable at the moment, so to speak. He shook his head. He was completely not okay that he couldn't stand and deliver. This was not something that he was okay with at all. And freaking out about it was probably only going to make it worse, but he wasn't sure he could manage not to freak out about it.
Lara frowned and loosened her arms around him so she could sit up. "Maybe..." She looked toward the window - the view was awesome, by the way, and the only thing keeping her from saying they should move away was job stuff - and then looked back down at Stone. She brushed her hand through his hair a few times. "Maybe we should just go do something else for a while. Let this happen when it happens. We just got off the plane, and away from all that shit back home...we just need to relax more. We can go to the beach," she suggested, arching her eyebrows a bit.
Stone turned his eyes up to the ceiling. He glanced out the window when Lara mentioned doing something else. This was not how he wanted this trip to start off at all. He closed his eyes when she brushed her hand through his hair and let out a little sigh. This really sucked, a whole lot. He nodded after a few minutes, "Okay," He didn't move to get up though. How was he supposed to get out of the funk/slump/whatever he was in at the moment if this stupid shit kept happening to him, making him feel all worthless and inadequate. Seriously? He moved to sit up after a moment and looked over at their bags, wondering which one had his bathing suit in it. He kind of didn't feel like looking for it. Maybe he should just pull his shorts back on and forget the bathing suit. He didn't need to put this much thought into it really.
"Okay," Lara echoed, with a nod and a small smile. Once Stone sat up, she leaned in and kissed him a few times. Kind of a last ditch effort for the moment at trying to spark something up.
Stone returned the kisses but there wasn't much he could do about the issue right now and on top of that he was feeling pretty embarrassed. So he capped it off with a last kiss before he glanced at her briefly and then gave a super quick little nose bump before moving to climb out of the bed. "I'm, gonna use the bathroom." He told her as he headed for the aforementioned bathroom. He didn't have to go, he'd gone on the plane and didn't exactly have a weak bladder. He pushed the door shut behind him even though it wasn't completely necessary and then went to the sink so he could throw some cold water on his face. Seriously, what the hell was wrong with him?
Despite the fact that he broke away, Lara smiled a little more after the nose bump. She nodded when he spoke and waited until he went in and closed the door before she got off the bed. This definitely put a damper on the start of their island getaway, but things could only get better from here, right? Actually, that was a bad attitude to have when you were a Follethorne, but still. This was Stone and he was just stressed. Once he settled in better, he'd be totally fine.
Lara walked over to one of her bags and pulled out the pieces to one of her bathing suits right away. It was very important to keep your bathing suits handy when travelling to beachy islands. This place was a billion times nicer than cold, wet January in the City. She looked out the big window at the water as she got semi-dressed.
Stone stared a little at himself in the mirror after he dried his face off. He looked tired. He shouldn't look tired. He'd been sleeping. Okay he hadn't had a completely restful sleep in a while. He put the towel he'd used to dry his hands and face down on the sink and turned to leave the bathroom so he could find his bathing suit. It was important to pack your bathing suit efficiently when you were a chick, yeah but pretty much any pair of shorts could be a bathing suit if you were a dude. Luckily, Stone located his and tugged it on. He had a couple of them but didn't see the need for having a bunch of bathing suits really since he didn't care about designs and girly things but this one was his favorite since it they went down to just above his knees and that made it feel more like regular shorts. He moved back and turned to do stand by the window and look out past the balcony at the beach and crossed his arms lightly over his chest as he waited for Lara. He'd figure out sunscreen stuff later. It was reaching late afternoon after all, the sun would start setting in an hour or two so it wasn't as strong, right? And then they could figure out what to do for dinner, he supposed, find some clothes to throw on over the bathing suits and just walk somewhere maybe.
Having multiple bathing suits was important to Lara not just for chick reasons, but for non-cold reasons too. No way was she going to put on an already wet bathing suit if she had to user it for something/go somewhere before the thing could dry. She pulled on a light cardigan (because she was her) and grabbed some sunscreen just in case. "Okay," she said, throwing some flip-flops on the floor and stepping into them since she was all beached-out, "let's go." She walked over to Stone and kissed his back.
Stone nodded. He looked over his shoulder towards Lara and then back out the window. "I figured out the first flaw of this place," He said as he pointed to the balcony. "It should have its own set steps down to the bar - pool area, to make it even faster." He nodded before he turned around to go and grab his sunglasses from the night stand where he'd tossed them. He leaned over to kiss Lara's shoulder on the way by. He decided against flip flops but did walk into the bathroom and open up a cabinet to grab two of the large fluffy towels that, even folded up, he could tell they'd be big enough to lay out on. Once he returned to the master bedroom and started to cross it. "We need anything else?" He should probably take his phone. Poe might call. Then again she probably wouldn't since he'd talked to her already. He couldn't decide.
Lara stepped closer to the window to look out when Stone moved. Convenient steps would have been nice. "As flaws go, that's pretty dealable," she commented. When she turned back around, Stone had towels and sunglasses and all that good stuff.
"Phone," she said with a nod. "Other than that, we're good."
"Dealable but still a flaw in my lazy eyes." Stone replied with a nod. He looked around for his shorts on the floor. Once he found them, he tucked the towels under his arm and leaned over to grab the shorts. He reached in and got his phone and his wallet. He dropped the shorts, put the items in his pockets - cargo pockets on a bathing suit? fantastic - and then grabbed his T-shirt from the floor to bring it with them. "Okay." He nodded and then nodded towards the door before he started for it to lead the way downstairs and outside.
Lara gave him a grin - it was their vacation, someone had to be grinning, dammit - and followed after him. "I can carry something, y'know," she pointed out once they got outside. Ah, beachy warmness.
Stone's eyebrows arched up. He looked down at his hands, on had his shirt in it since he didn't feel like wearing it, the other had the towels. Everything else was in a pocket or on his face (sunglasses). He looked over at her as they walked past the pool and the bar and out to the walkway that led down to the beach. "...Towels and my T-shirt aren't exactly cumbersome." He shrugged.
"Yeah, but they look bigger than anything I've got." Which was just the sunscreen. "I can take my towel." She reached over and tugged at a corner of it, waiting for Stone to let go. "It'll make me feel more helpful."
Stone let go of his grip on the towel she was tugging, but did so with a little roll of his eyes, good thing he had his sunglasses on he supposed. "It's not like anybody's watching us carrying stuff to the beach, y'know," He said as they made it to the sand and kept on walking. He wasn't sure where on the beach she'd want to set down. He also wasn't sure who knew they were here and where they were to possibly be watching them, but he supposed there wasn't much he could do about that either.
"I'm watching," Lara said as she took the towel and tucked it under his arm. "Just indulge me a little here." She looked around as she trailed behind them, looking around. People better not be able to see them on this beach. It was supposed to be private, right?
"I am," He had relinquished the towel after all, no? And yes, it was supposed to be private, but there were other 'private' beaches neighboring it and who knew who was renting those places, right? He stopped, halfway between the water and the end of the walkway and looked around. "Where do you want to set everything?" He asked. There was a lot of space. They had chairs too that could be dragged down here if they wanted. Stone thought he was just going to lay down on the sand though. Might as well. Well, on top of his towel anyway.
Lara stopped and shrugged. "Here?" She tossed the suncreen bottle to the ground and stepped around to spread out her towel.
Stone shrugged. He tucked his t-shirt into his waistband for now and then moved to spread his towel out next to Lara's so the edges overlapped. Maybe he should've brought his sandals to weigh down the corners of his towel. Whoops. Oh well. He sat down on it and let his feet hang over in the sand before he tugged the t-shirt out and balled it up, intending to turn it into a pillow of sorts.
Once Lara set the towel down, she stepped into the middle of it and sat down into a cross-legged position. Once her butt was settled into the sand, she pulled her cardigan off and folded it semi-neatly to put down on the corner of the towel.
Stone looked over and watched Lara's precisions towel-sitting skills, slightly amused but not smile/smirk/etc yet. He took a look around after leaning back and resting his weight on his palms behind him. He started feeling paranoid about the whole being watched thing. Were they going to find pictures of them around the villa and on the beach and what not later online? If they went to eat were people going to be taking pictures of them and such?
Stone wasn't the only one getting paranoid. Having pictures taken of them out to eat wasn't as scary as having pictures of them taken on their private beach. They were supposed to make out and go skinny dipping on that beach. This trip was not shaping up so well so far.
"Do you want some?" she asked after taking a glance around. She held up the sunscreen and shaking it from side to side.
Stone looked over at the bottle. He probably should. Sunburn would just round out this awesometastic trip so far wouldn't it? He nodded and sat up to take the bottle and start covering himself in sunscreen. Fun. "Need any on your back?" He asked once he'd finished clearing all the sunscreen off his chest, arms and face. He left his legs alone since they didn't really burn or anything and rubbed the last of what was on his hands on his ears and the back of his neck.
Lara had been planning on helping him out with his sunscreen application a little, but he just took the bottle and took charge. She put her hands down in her lap and watched him for a few moments before her attention went to paranoid watching of the nearby foliage. When he offerered to do her back, she turned back to him and nodded, smiling a bit. "Yeah, sure. Thanks." She pushed herself up off the towel a little and turned to back over in his direction. Once she was partly on his towel, she reached back to push her hair over her shoulder and out of the way.
Stone had yet to cover his own back since he couldn't reach it on his own, so it was still all good. He hadn't wanted her to be sunscreening his stomach area and possibly have limited reaction to it, which could be depressing for both of them. He smiled a little as she got closer. He put some sunscreen into his palm and set the bottle down. He rubbed his hands together a little and leaned forward to kiss the back of her shoulder before he started covering her back and rubbing the sunscreen in, taking his good old time to do so. Everything would be fine once he relaxed, that's all.
Lara smiled some more once he kissed her shoulder, and leaned back into his hands a little bit. Everything was going to be totally fine. Stone had been all wound up before, but after a little bit of beach-lounging, everything would go back to normal. One of them would be requiring first aid for a sex injury within the hour, surely. There was a little squirming going on once Stone got down around her hip-area, and Lara seriously hoped all her current positive thoughts would end up being true.
Honestly, Stone would be all right if they avoided the sex injury part so long as the sex part went off without a hitch. He was entirely freaked out about the issue as well. Regardless he smiled (an extremely tiny bit) and let his fingers linger around her hips since she went all squirming, awhile after he'd finished rubbing in all the sunscreen.
Once it became obvious that the sunscreen was more than done, Lara smirked a little and leaned back against Stone. She rested the back of her head against his shoulder and looked up at him. "Hi, upside down Stone. Thanks."
Stone pressed his lips into still a super tiny smile. "Hi," He replied. "Welcome." He leaned his head down and kissed her shoulder. At least all the sunscreen was rubbed in so that didn't taste all funky. He slid his hands around her hips and moved to wrap his arms around her middle. Then he turned his head to kiss the side of her jaw before he dragged his nose along it a little since a nose bump seemed impractical in this situation.
Lara smiled an actual smile and turned her head a little bit to lean it against his some more once he nuzzled the side of her jaw. "It's nice that you're still super-warm even though we're outside in the sun on a beach. You'd think all that would even your temperature out a little." Or she just liked leaning against him and always thought he was warmer than he actually was. Either way, it was still nice.
Stone shook his head even though she was leaning hers against his. "I wouldn't be qualified as a personal space heater if my temperature evened out in such cases." He reasoned. "And since you're you, this is convenient even in eighty-degree weather." Indeed. He placed a kiss to the side of her neck and nestled his nose and forehead around in the general area as he let out a little sigh. He didn't want this little vacation to suck. He wanted a break. He wanted Lara to get a break, especially because all of this drama had been caused by his family.
"Very convenient," Lara nodded. "I don't know how I'd survive without your warmness all the time." She let out a slow sigh and moved her arms over his, swaying a little bit. The vacation got off to a rough start, but it was bound to get better.
Stone frowned a little as he swayed with her and looked down at her arms since she put them over top of his. "Don't say that," He knew it was just a turn of phrase really, really he did, but he didn't want to think about the idea of one of them not being around considering the holiday debacle and the now dead Gibson. "You won't have to." He tightened his arms around her and pulled her back further even though it wasn't really possible for her to get much closer.
Lara's brow wrinkled and she squeezed Stone's arms with her hands. She hadn't meant to bring him down with that comment. It was just a joke, even though it was actually kind of very true. "That's good," she said quietly after a moment. She turned her head back up to look at him. "I love you," she said with another squeeze to his arms.
Stone nodded at both of her comments and kissed the side of her neck again. He was going to apologize for taking her joke a little seriously but he didn't want her to get aggravated with him apologizing so he kept up the swaying instead. "I think it's sick, ridiculous and completely undefinable how much I love you." He couldn't help the sappiness and he kind of really didn't care. "And by 'sick' and 'ridiculous' I mean 'awesome'."
Lara arched her eyebrows up a little bit, giving all that sappiness adequate time to really sink in. It was still kind of amazing to her that the sappy stuff actually made her feel really good instead of really freaked out. There was really no way she could top that comment, not in sweetness or sappiness, so she wasn't even going to try. After a moment or two, she leaned up to kiss the side of his jaw and grinned. Then she blurted out, "I'm so glad I met you." And then, "The second time." So yeah, it turned out that she could top the cheesiness.
Stone kept on swaying from side to side, not a whole lot but enough. It took him a second to realize what she meant by 'the second time' but eventually he smiled and nodded. "Me too," He said. He kissed her shoulder again and close his eyes for a moment behind his sunglasses, swaying with her a little bit more. "...You looked so cute in your little khaki shorts and that gold-panted helmet..." He smirked a little.
Lara moved her right arm back to elbow his side. "I was thirteen," she laughed, "please don't start perving on my underage-self."
Stone laughed. "I just can't help myself. It's kind of like you and your secret collection in the Manor storage room..." He said. "I should've remembered to pack the DVD with that episode of Legends of The Hidden Temple on it...damn." He added with a sigh.
Lara scrunched her face up and snickered. "Ew," she said, nudging him again. Then, after a moment, she raised her eyebrows. "Wait. You made a DVD?"
Stone laughed and wiggled around a bit in a squirm when Lara nudged him again. He cleared his throat and tried to keep a straight face. "Oh, totally." He nodded though no he really hadn't. The episode was, however, saved onto the cable's dvr because c'mon he needed record of it somewhere.
Lara narrowed her eyes, suspicious, and lifted his hands off of her a bit so she could turn around and look at him. Once she was kneeling in front of him, she said, "You're joking. Good." Even though she had a DVD of his younger TV/movie days, but anyway.
Stone smiled a little as she moved to turn around. He moved to bend his legs around her so his feet were flat down on the towel. He tilted his head a little and smirked. "Hm." He said quickly. "Remember the new apartment law?" He asked with a bounce of his eyebrows. "You do have a certain DVD of similar videos of me so..." He trailed off with an innocent shrug.
Lara dropped her jaw a little in mock, grinny outrage and shook her head. "Hey, nuh uh, the law was anything I do to you. Having a DVD isn't doing anything to you." She lifted herself up and moved to default in his lap. "So I object. This would not hold up in court."
Stone grinned. "It does needless trauma to me," He countered with a nod. "Therefore, it indeed 'does' something to me and my argument would totally hold up in court. This is exactly why I was perfectly entitled to immortalize your game show fame in DVD format." He gave her a smug cheeky little grin and leaned forward to kiss the tip of her nose and then to bump it with his own. "New Law rules." He grinned.
"Well..." Lara began after bumping Stone's nose back, "like you said, it's an apartment law." She glanced around and then looked at him with raised eyebrows. "We're not in the apartment." She leaned in for a kiss and pulled back just enough to say, "We're on a beach. In the Bahamas. Way out of the apartment's jurisdiction."
"Well," Stone reasoned after leaning forward to kiss her again. "I already said the DVD wasn't here, didn't I? It's in the proper jurisdiction..." he nodded and kissed her a few more times. "We should make this a roaming law, perhaps." He reasoned.
"Good point," Lara conceded before throwing in another kiss. At his suggestion, she arched an eyebrow. "I suppose...but only if it's beneficial to me," she said as she put her arms around his neck. She leaned back in and gave him another kiss. Of course it would be beneficial for her, duh.
Stone grinned between those kisses and comments. He set his legs back down when Lara wrapped her arms around his neck so he could pull her into his lap. "Has it not been beneficial for you yet?" He asked before he kissed her once more and then decided it was high time to start kissing along her jaw, so he did.
"So far it's been so good," Lara confirmed with a nod after returning his kiss. She grinned and tilted her head back and to the side once he started kissing along her jaw. She tightened both her arms and legs around him and sincerely hoped no one was able to take pictures of them at the moment. That would just be massively uncool.
Massively uncool, but totally happening. There was indeed a paparazzi duo who had discovered Stone and Lara's vacationing plans and have rented the closest neighboring villa with some company money. Oh yes. Not only did those super long zoom lenses capture amazingly clear pictures - like the look on Lara's face as she tilted her head while Stone kissed along her jaw and down her neck, past her collarbone... - but they were also easy to upload thanks to the wonder of digital photography. The kids on Oh No They Didn't were going to love these!
Stone, and Lara as it was, didn't know this however and just felt paranoid about it. It would pass eventually. No one was interrupting them after all. He smiled a little when Lara tightened her arms and legs around him. "Good." He said as he moved one of his hands down her side so he could slip his fingers just below the waistband of her bathing suit bottom. He leaned back enough to kiss her properly and moved his other hand into her hair as if it would help bring her closer even though there really wasn't much space between them at the moment.
Lara was all about the kissing, and she was willing to go with the belief that no one was watching if it meant the two of them didn't have to go anywhere. She shifted around a little with the hip-touching and moved one arm from around Stone's neck so she could trail her fingers down his chest to his stomach. Stone had to be totally relaxed by now, right? Of course he would be. Except he didn't exactly feel very relaxed. She kissed him again and turned her finger trailing into some nail scraping.
Stone was trying to be relaxed. So far it wasn't working out for him just yet still. Damn it. But at least Lara was going all squirmy so one of them was at least better relaxed. Okay...maybe he relaxed a little after the three-hit combo of the squirming in his lap, the stomach trail and the scalp scraping. Relaxed enough that he inhaled sharply and moved in the trail he'd just started down the front of her neck and leaned his forehead into the crook of her neck, dragging his nose there a second since he'd gotten a good amount of light-headed. The photographers in the neighboring villa were overjoyed that their presence was unknown. Each picture they e-mailed sent their bank accounts soaring as various tabloids posted the pictures to their websites and prepared them for print and then various gossip blogs began posting them up right away because duh, d-listers groping on a private beach? Scandalous! Gasp.
Lara would have been completely disgusted to discover someone considered them D-listers. She wanted to be a firmly negative Z-lister, thank you very much. But (un)luckily she didn't know this or that, y'know, other people existed in this world because Stone was kissing down her neck and getting all nose-draggy. She let out a very happy little hum and moved the hand that was on his stomach to his shoulder so she could push him down on the towel as she moved her legs out of the way. She was totally going to help him get all the way relaxed, and kissing a trail down his neck to his chest to his stomach was totally going to do that. For sure.
It would've been nice to be negative z-listers as Stone probably wouldn't have had to worry about the relaxation problem so much otherwise. He settled down on the towels on his back as they shifted around. Relaxed, yeah, he was definitely getting there. He let out a sigh as his stomach muscles tightened and then loosened up under Lara's touch and kisses. He lifted his head and moved his hand into her hair. When his neck got tired he put his head back down and closed his eyes as he let out another more typical sound. He couldn't help squirming a bit under her once that relaxation finally worked its way into the appropriate appendage. He cleared his throat and was about to make some form of noise to get Lara's attention so he could get her to move back up so he could kiss her but his brain was a little too cloudy and he couldn't seem to do anything but let out stomach-attack related noises. So all he could do was prop himself up by his elbows. His pulse had sped up a good amount too, not that that was a bad thing.
Lara grinned as she kissed random spots on Stone's stomach, very pleased that Operation: Relaxation looked and sounded like it was a success. She added some finger trailing to the mix and eventually lifted her head up to smile at Stone. "Hey there," she said, still running her fingers around on his stomach as she moved up his body to kiss him properly.
Stone smiled. He let out another sigh that had a 143 in it. See, he was fine. They were good. This was vacation and things were all right. He leaned forward to return the kiss once she'd made her way back up his torso and then laid back so he could moved his fingers along her hips. What the hell. It was a private beach right? Yes. it was. So after a hip attack that included randomly switching from grazing to scraping, and some more kissing, he went in for another neck attack and kissed his way to the back of her jaw. Once he got there, he dragged his nose against her jaw line and took a deep breath before he started kissing the spot right behind her ear. His hands dragged their way up her back and started to untie the top of her bathing suit.
It was Lara's turn to get pretty light-headed then. Beside the failed sex-session up in the villa bedroom, the two of them hadn't really been like this since all the Gibson stuff really hit Stone. She got kind of gaspy and awesomely squirmy, and had to lean down on her elbow by his head to keep herself propped up. She moved her other hand up from his stomach to his hair, and closed her eyes with a sigh once he dragged his nose along her jaw. If none of that had been going on then she might have objected to the bathing suit untying in the paranoid light of day, but she was way, way distracted. And possibly murmuring a 43, but it was really quiet, so that was up for debate.
Really quiet, but Stone still heard it. He grinned and moved the tip of his nose along the underside of her jaw before following the path he'd made with light little kisses. He got the ties undone but didn't move to tug the material away just yet since he didn't want them to have to move further apart just yet. He let out a sigh mid-kiss to her neck and lightly dragged his hands back down to the small of her back and dragged them around to her hips as he shifted under her. He really could've cared less where he was at at the moment since it was such an awesome moment right now.
It certainly was awesome. And Gibson was gone and done and they now had seventy percent less stuff to worry about now. Lara was really fucking happy that Stone was able to be in a better mood now. And that she totally helped! She let out another hum which turned into a little bit of a laugh when he shifted around. Yeah, she was pretty jazzed. And she was so about to roll onto her back because the effort it took to keep herself up dwindled away more and more with each little kiss and hip-graze Stone added.
Stone figured a little rolling over was due, yes so he wrapped his arms around her and did just that, making sure to roll to the side that would leave them still on the blankets. He moved is arms to brace himself up a bit so he could tug the loose bathing suit top out of the way and as he dropped it next to them leaned over to kiss her properly. "You," He said between kisses as he smirked. "Are awesome." He grinned and went for a nose bump as he moved the hand of the arm he wasn't leaning on to moved that back down to her hip and below the waistband of her bathing suit bottom. This was definitely going to be a good vacation, yes.
Ah, rest for Lara's weary arms. She lifted her arms around Stone's neck and slid a hand into his hair once she was situated. Oh, and she grinned a whole bunch too, in between the kisses. She feigned a gasp that turned partly into a real one as Stone's fingers ran over her hip. "This totally works out," she said as she bent a leg up to lean it against him as she started squirming anew, "because you're awesome too!" It was nice how that worked. After some more shifting, she added with a smirk, "And you better be right about this being a private beach or else I'm gonna have to kill you."
Stone grinned when the fake gasp turned all real gaspy. He loved that, seriously it was the kind of sound that did weird awesome things to him. He moved to started kissing his way down toward her collarbones as she started squirming and he let his hand take a brief light course down the outside of her thigh since her leg had wrapped around him a bit before he moved it back to her hip. He stopped the kissing and tilted his head up to kiss her chin and then looked around without moving off of her much. "Nobody's here. There are dunes, jetties and other barriers between this and the next beach and that's what they told me it was." He told her.
Lara's eyes closed and she let out a slow sigh at the thigh trail, but she opened her eyes back up again when Stone spoke. Off his glance around, she pushed her head back into the toweled sand and attempted to look at the upside-down area behind them. Nope, she didn't see anything. Her vision like that was mostly sky, anyway. She looked at Stone again. "Good," she smirked. "Because if we had to move, that would suck."
Stone smirked and glanced down at their hips before he looked back up at Lara and nodded. "Yes. Yes it would." He agreed but that didn't stop him from leaning back over to kiss her again, a couple of times. He shifted his weight around a bit and decided it was high time to do a little map charting along Lara's chest by way of mouth and his hand as he moved it back up her side and along already mapped out and well-known curves. Why didn't they just pack up and move somewhere like here again?
Well, even though Lara never had to work another day in her life again now that she was married to a billionaire, she still liked working. A lot. And having her own source of income was even more important to her now that she was married to a billionaire, because she wasn't about to just coast off his inherited wealth. But maybe she'd give in someday and retire early and the two of them would live in beachy happiness forever and ever. That would be kind of nice. It was nice at the moment, after all. Lara's eyes fell shut again as Stone went all cartography-happy, and she moved an hand absently through his hair. There were more than just a few noises let out here and there as well. Yay for private, sunny beaches!
They could work here/wherever though. And it wasn't like they couldn't keep the apartment in the City and y'know go there and visit. Plus it wasn't like they couldn't keep Lara's store and the venue open from afar too. But anyway. They could be professional cartographers! Mix that with their urban spelunking hobby and they'd be set! He grinned between kisses and grazes at the sounds she made and had to shift his weight around a little more since his one arm was getting a little tired.
Yeah, but Lara liked actually working at her store, so purely managing it from afar wasn't quite the same. Not like any of that compared to spelunking and cartography though, because there was no contest there. She went a little nail-happy in his hair and then used her free arm to tug him up a little because she wanted some kissing, dammit.
Stone let out a shaky sigh when she scraped his scalp. He made his way back up to kiss her properly. For having so much shitty stuff happen to him throughout his life it was completely awesome that he and Lara had managed to meet (twice no less) and wind up where they were in a strange, awesome, crazy relationship. The fact that (he thought at least) they both got each other as well was pretty amazing all things considered. He dropped a 143 between those kisses, it was necessary just cause.
Lara thought they got each other too - that was one of the myriad reasons she had given him at the time of the first 143, after all. "You...are such...a sap," she smirked, punctuating almost every word with a kiss. Ha, like she wasn't equally sappy. She moved her hand out of his hair and lowered both hands so she could drag them lightly up his sides, just barely touching him.
Stone grinned as he returned each and every one of those kisses. She obviously knew she was a sap too so instead of telling her this, he let out a simple, "Ha!" And smiled before he was reduced to leaning his head down on her shoulder with a few choices noises of his own as she sifted around with those barely grazing grazes.
Lara grinned, looking up at the sky, and tilted her head to the side a bit so it was leaning against Stone's. She made little wavy patterns with her fingers to mix it up a little, too. Doing this stuff never stopped being fun, really. Which was why Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Makeout went on for a while, and a little while after that, too. Eventually Stone's cell phone rang, and that kind of sucked.
That definitely sucked since it was on vibrate and they'd rolled over again by that point. They were sitting up in the default position even and Stone jumped and looked down towards their hips, grumbling, without pulling very far away. "Never fails..." He sighed and leaned forward to kiss her shoulder, swaying a little as he leaned around to get into his cargo pocket for the phone. He kept his other arm wrapped around her tightly since that whole torso to torso skin touching thing was awesome and he wasn't going to break that just cause he was answering a phone. Eventually when he got the phone free, he decided not to look at it and instead just flipped it open and put it to his ear. "Hello?" He asked.
Lara let out a sigh and rolled her eyes before dropping her head down to Stone's shoulder. She let it rest there for all of two seconds before she started kissing along that and the side of his neck. No reason for her to stop when he was the only one who had to talk.
Lis was on the other end of the phone, and she sounded maybe a little concerned. "Hey, hey, hey, how are you guys doing? Having fun over there?" And did you, by any chance, visit the beach today?"
Stone's eyebrows arched. "Hm." He said curiously, definitely distracted by the neck kissing. "We're fine." He answered. "And we're on the beach right now. Why, you jealous with all that working? Can't wait that extra week-ish to fly down?" He smirked a little and closed his eyes. He swayed a little more since it was a comfortable motion.
"You're on the beach right now?" Lis asked, her eyes wide. She clicked to another page and cleared her throat. "I'm fine where I am, actually...so, what...are you wearing?"
Stone's brow furrowed. "Yeah we..." he stopped when she cleared her throat. He looked down and let out another 'hm' sound. "Uh, well we're a little on the-," He paused a moment. "...Why are you asking me this?" He said as he leaned forward a little more and tightened his arm around Lara.
Lara paused and lifted her head at the change in Stone's tone. She furrowed her brow at him and mouthed a what?
"Is Lara wearing the blue bikini I helped her buy a couple of days ago?" Lis cleared her throat again and scrolled down in the browser window. "Or, uh, wearing half of it?"
Stone was about to answer Lara, but then Lis started talking again and his eyes started traveling toward Lara's hips, but that meant leaning back so he looked toward the towel and spotted the top. His jaw slacked a bit and his eyes widened. He actually fought the urge to look around since that would make it too obvious. Okay, okay....okay...now what? He cleared his own throat and glance at Lara as he leaned closer against her. "...Where?" He asked into the phone. He moved it away from his mouth held up his index finger with the hand that was holding the phone. He wasn't sure if he should tell Lara now and risk her freaking and these....pictures or whatever Lis was looking at, turning out worse, or just wait. He'd get a little info from Lis and then hang up and execute a plan of attack, yes.
Lara widened her eyes, getting kind of worried. "What, what?" she asked in a harsh whisper, despite the fact that Stone wanted her to wait.
"Where?" Lis repeated. Then it clicked and she nodded despite the fact that no one could see her. "Behind you," she said. "Somewhere behind you. And they've got some pretty good zoom on their cameras. Jesus, how long have you two been out there?"
Stone moved the phone away from his mouth and looked at Lara. "Shh, relax. It's okay. Just..." He moved the phone back and listened. "...a while." He answered. "Listen...I'll call you back later okay?" He asked. "And thanks." He added. This completely sucked a whole lot. Crap, shit, mother fucker.
"Oh, oh, okay," Lis nodded. "Sure. I'll...good luck." She reluctantly closed her phone. And of course, called J right away.
Lara only arched her eyebrows up higher. "What is going on?"
J had just started looking at the pictures when Lis called her. Oh the scandal...those Follethornes just couldn't avoid it.
Stone closed his phone and moved to show it into is cargo pocket. He wrapped the arm around her a little tighter but leaned his head back to look at her before he lifted his hand to put it on the side of her face. "Don't freak out," Yeah that was helpful. He cleared his throat. "That was Lis," He added right away. "She wanted to know if we'd been to the beach yet...and if you were wearing the bathing suit she helped you buy a few days ago?" He arched his eyebrows and tried to make sure she didn't turn her head. "Don't look around. We're being photographed. Lis said from behind me-if you make it obvious, it'll be worse. So...take a breath, look anywhere you can over my shoulder as nonchalantly as possible and tell me if you can see anyone anywhere...while I try and figure out how to get us out of this in the least revealing way possible," Considering she was topless and he was still in 'relaxed' mode so to speak.
Lara was not any calmer when Stone told her not to freak out, and then when he started telling her what Lis said, her jaw dropped open. Could they not get a fucking break? Ever? She definitely tried to look around, but Stone's hand stopped her. She started breathing a little harder and stared at Stone, at the moment a little too freaked to move much.
"Stone..." she said, but didn't follow it up with anything. After a few moments of staring, she flicked her eyes over Stone's right shoulder. She pulled him a little tighter with the arm she had around him, and looked over the sand she could see. "I don't," she began, but then stopped when she looked farther to the right. "Oh, fuck. The next place over. There's a deck. There's someone on the deck." There wasn't much of the deck visible from where they were, but it was probably enough.
Stone nodded when Lara said his name, trying to breathe normally as well. "Yeah, I know." He didn't apologize yet but only because he was still trying to think of the easiest way to get them back into the villa. He nodded. "Okay." He said. "Hey..." He added a moment later, leaning forward for a nose bump. "All right...look at me. Here's what we're gonna do," He waited though, for Lara to bring her attention back to him.
Lara was kind of stuck staring at the unknown person on the deck. They were pretty far away, so at least the pictures had to be bad quality, right? Like it mattered, anyway! High-quality or not, they were still pictures of the two of them rolling around on the beach, topless. When Stone bumped her nose, she blinked and brought her eyes back over to him. "What? Kill the people who assured us our privacy?"
Well, they'd see how the pictures were when they got inside since Stone knew he at least had packed his computer. So much for a relaxing happy vacation. Figured. Stone smirked a little. "Besides that." He said. He wrapped his arms around her and scooted until they were on what was originally his towel. He leaned forward and kissed her shoulder and also reached out past Lara to grab the other towel. He pulled it around her back. "Okay...legs around the waist, arms around the neck and hold that towel around us," He said as he reached for her bathing suit top to drop it between them under the towel, trusting it would stay there since they were smashed pretty close together. "I'll get the other towel, and the flip flops, whatever, later on...and we'll also kill the people who assured us the privacy yes. Slow painful deaths." He sighed and pressed his forehead to hers. "I'm so...so sorry..." He said before he kissed her quickly. "Objections?"
Lara nodded a little bit and tightened her arms around his neck as she gripped the corners of the towel behind his back. "No objections," she shook her head. "Let's please go." As fast as possible. She needed to throw on clothes and break out her own laptop as fast as possible. The thought that random people on the internet could be looking at pictures of her topless was pretty terrifying. Why could they never get any peace?
Stone wanted to apologize again. It was his fault they couldn’t get any peace. He nodded. "Okay, hold on." Figured that he'd finally gotten relaxed and now they were going to be stuck looking at stupid shit online and dealing with fall out. He moved to his knees and then stood up as quick as possible. At least he had Lara and the towel to obstruct his groin area though. He kissed her cheek as he started through the sand towards the walkway. "I'm sorry," He said. "I just wanted to take a break with you and not have to deal with all this shit." He muttered quietly as he kept walking as quickly as he could. He made it up the walkway and walked around the pool under the balcony and to the back door. He adjusted his grip on Lara and slid the glass door open. Once they were inside, he turned around to shut and lock it. And then he kept walking to head for the stairs and the master bedroom without letting Lara down just yet. He apologized quietly a couple more times on the way.
Once Stone stood up and kissed her cheek, Lara wrapped her legs around him better and dropped her head down to his shoulder. Keeping it down would help her resist the urge to look over at the next house. She adjusted her grip on the towel and kept quiet until Stone apologized for about the third time.
"Stop," she said, with her head still down even though they had made it back inside. She should have known better than to do all that stuff right out there in the light and all. It was better to be safe than sorry, and at the moment she was feeling very sorry.
Stone stopped talking once Lara told him too, even if she only meant to stop apologizing. Once they were in the bedroom he walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge of it. He turned his head and kissed the side of hers but didn't speak since he would've apologized, so. He kind of didn't want to let her go, and was torn somewhere between wanting to know how bad the pictures were and not wanting to. So much for relaxation.
Lara unclasped her hands from behind Stone's back, but still held onto the corners of the towel as she brought her hands in front of her and sat back. She looked at him and leaned her head forward against his before letting out a sigh. She was pretty happy in just about every other aspect of her life beside this Hawthorne parent-related media/privacy stuff, so she supposed it was probably a fair tradeoff. It didn't feel very fair in moments like these. It pretty much just made her want to grab Stone and move with him under a rock somewhere. A rock, like, in the middle of the Sahara.
After a few moments, Lara let out a 143 because that was important with all of Stone's apologizing, and then moved off his lap. She needed to put a shirt on and break out her laptop. She was crazy nervous about seeing what the pictures were, but she had to look at them anyway. Her bathing suit top had fallen to the floor when she moved, so she bent down and picked it up, still holding the towel around herself.
Stone nodded as Lara moved off his lap. He returned the 143 with one of his own, much quieter though. Then he headed for the wall of glass that led to the balcony and pulled the chain on the wall to slide the curtains shut on it. "I'm gonna go make some calls." He said as he headed for the door of the bedroom, since most of the contact numbers he needed were down there on the table by the entrance.
Lara was grateful for the curtain shutting. She tossed the bathing suit top on the bed and picked up one of her shirts instead. She turned to Stone when he spoke and nodded. "Okay. I'll get on the internet." She watched him go and frowned. She could really ring that photographer's neck not just for the horribly invasive pictures, but also for lowering their morale a ton after it had just gone back up again.
Once Stone was gone, she put the towel down on the floor since it was kind of sandy in the back, and then pulled her shirt on. She went over to one of her bags and pulled out her laptop, as well as a pair of pajama pants that she put on over the rest of her bathing suit. She turned the laptop on and grabbed the papers off the desk in the room that explained how to get on the villa's wifi. It felt like it took forever before she got the computer on and connected to the internet, but it probably only took about five minutes, tops.
Stone located the numbers he needed and started calling multiple people to both get rid of those photographers as well as to make sure it didn't happen again on their private beach as it was a violation of said privacy. After being offered profuse apologies and assurances that it would be taken care off as well as an offer for some money back, Stone hung up with the last of the people he'd had to and walked to a window facing the direction of the neighboring villa. He was told that they would call him back when it was taken care of, so he let go of the curtain and returned upstairs. He dug around in one of his bags for a T-shirt to pull on.
Lara was sitting cross-legged on the bed when Stone came back in. She glanced up at him briefly and then looked back down as she opened the folder for all the gossip sites she had bookmarked. She had a lot. This wasn't the kind of thing she normally looked at online, but since Christmas Eve, she had been keeping tabs on what people were saying about Stone and Poe. And her, too. None of it was very good for her sanity, but she looked anyway. As the tabs loaded their pages, she wondered what kind of e-mails Stone was getting in his media-friendly account. So she opened that up too.
"Are they getting rid of them?" she asked as she clicked on the tab for TMZ. The very first post had a picture of Patience, walking somewhere wearing sunglasses and looking forlorn. Lara scowled a little bit and scrolled down. There was a picture below that, of her and Stone kissing like, freaking right outside, and a red banner with white letters reading 'EXCLUSIVE!' Below that was some irritating copy that Lara wasn't able to read, because she was too busy staring at the picture of the two of them.
A breaking exclusive! While Patience Hawthorne roams the streets of [wherever] mourning the death of her late husband, son Stone and his wife live it up down in the Bahamas! Nothing like a little Sex on the Beach to raise your spirits after a funeral! Isn't that just the Hawthorne way?
For more EXCLUSIVE and NOT WORK SAFE pictures, click the jump!'
"Yeah," Stone nodded and pulled his arms through his sleeves then his shirt over his head. He walked over and sat on the bed on the other side of the laptop and Lara's legs so he wouldn't have to look at it. He didn't want to see it. No doubt it had to be bad, and fucking stupid. He leaned back on his palm. "How bad is it?" Might as well ask he guessed.
Lara opened her mouth to answer as she scrolled down a little more to see a few more pictures on the main page, but she didn't end up saying anything. One of the pictures was of Stone tossing aside the top of her bathing suit, and the one next to it had a strategically-placed 'EXCLUSIVE!' bar going across her chest. Oh, geez. Lara closed her mouth again and started breathing heavier as she clicked on one of the pictures to go to the actual post. She scrolled through it pretty quick, to get an overview of everything. After a minute, she finally answered Stone's question.
"It's bad," she said quietly, still looking at the screen. The photographer's camera had a pretty good zoom. And Lara was pretty sure she never wanted to go out in public ever again.
Stone frowned as he watched Lara's face. He moved on the bed to look at the webpage before he started glaring. There had to be some way to have these taken down, didn't there? Since it was a private beach and therefore posting up photos would be like proving you trespassed right? Stone dug his phone out of his pocket again to call his lawyer and ask him to get looking into it and pronto.
Lara scrolled down some more to look at the comments section, and of course, immediately regretted it. She clicked to the next couple of tabs, and the only one that had any mention of the beach stuff was Oh No They Didn't, which was just a copy and paste job of the TMZ post. The comments there were even worse. Some of them were calling her and Stone out for attention whoring and tastelessness, which was such bullshit considering the only tastless ones were the photographer who took the pictures and those commenters for eating it all up. Lara then moved to Stone's inbox and was a little overwhelmed by the 634 new messages. No, sorry, make that 635. The Gibson funeral/beach picture combo was really filling the mailbox up fast.
Lara leaned her elbow on her leg and dropped her forehead into her hand with a sigh. This was so incredibly embarrassing. It was a million times worse than getting caught on the couch with Stone by her mother. Now it was getting caught by the entire internet.
Stone hung up with the lawyer and put his phone down on the night stand. He frowned when Lara put her head in her hand. "...Have I mentioned that I'm sorry?" He asked. "And don't say it's not my fault when it is....because of the pseudo-fame shit." He didn't think he could even consider it fame but he had no other word for it.
Lara lifted up her head again after a moment. "It's not your fault," she said anyway. "You didn't take the pictures. This just serves me right for getting half-naked on a beach. I guess we should be glad we didn't get to any other bases."
She looked at the screen again and closed the e-mail inbox tab. The comments section for one of the gossip blogs came up below it, with wonderful sentiments such as, i'll give her a 7 but I still think she looks like a retard. but i'd probly hit it anyway. Lara frowned and shut the laptop. Kind of hard, too.
Stone looked at the laptop to avoid looking at Lara as she spoke. He frowned at the comment before Lara slammed the laptop shut. Then he reached out to pull the computer from her lap. "For the record even though you know this, you are way higher than a seven and you don't look retarded." He couldn't think of what else to say. "And even if I didn't take the pictures, I'm still sorry that they're following us because of Patience and the funeral and stuff. They told me it was private, I didn't think about photographers following us..." Or he wouldn't have taken her top off on the beach. He moved the computer to the foot of the bed and rolled onto his back. He covered his face with his hands and let out an aggravated sound. "Why can't we just have a vacation without this shit?" He muttered around his hands before he dropped them to his sides and stared up at the ceiling frowning.
Lara smirked a tiny bit and mumbled a "thanks" as Stone took the laptop away. But she went back to frowning when Stone went back to apologizing. He didn't think that photographers would follow them, which was why it wasn't his fault. She was going to tell him that, but Stone vented his frustration first.
Lara let out a sigh and moved to lie down on her stomach next to him. "I don't know. I think we're being punished for not making each other miserable while married, so everyone else has to try and make us miserable instead." She blew out some air toward her bangs to get them out of her face and then looked at Stone. "There's this guy...he made his own little island with like trees for fruit and food and shit. And he just floats around on the Pacific Ocean. We should do that."
Stone nodded. "We're totally buying an island. We'll name it something ridiculous like...Follethornia." He nodded again and then sighed. "This sucks." He frowned a little more, but leaned over and kissed her shoulder. After the shoulder kiss he stood up and headed for the bathroom, where he turned on the hot water to fill up the jacuzzi. They could relax a little tiny bit inside while they waited for the return phone calls, right? Before other people started calling to tell them about this crap.
This did, indeed, suck. "Follethornia shouldn't be its official name when we sign it up on the International Island Registry," she said, raising herself up a little to watch him as he left the room. "Then people will be able to find it. Its official name should be...Completely Boring Island That Is Of No Interest To You...ville." She sat all the way and looked at the bathroom door. "Where are you going?"
"A title like that will make people want to visit it too. It won't matter though because it will be its own country and we can reject people from flying in our air space and boating in to dock under penalty of death or something crazy. He called back to Lara as he headed for the door to the bedroom. "I'm gonna get in the jacuzzi while we wait." He said before he arched his eyebrows. "Unless you don't want me to?" He asked. "Or if you want to do something else?" That hopefully didn't requiring looking at shit online.
"Cool," Lara said with a little smile. She looked up at the ceiling and mused, "Then we would really draft up our own set of official laws."
She lowered her gaze to the bathroom doorway when Stone appeared, and shook her head. "No, that's a good idea." She climbed off the bed and walked over to the doorway. "Hopefully there are no secret cameras set up in the building to document us." She looked up again, around the corners of the ceiling. She didn't really think there were cameras, but hey, it was still a possibility in today's stupid world.
Stone followed her gaze around. "Wouldn't those have already been posted before the photos?" He asked as he stepped back into the room to let her in after leaning over to kiss her. "And yes, we would totally make our own government." He nodded. "Only people we want there would be allowed to visit. And...yeah I ran out of steam." he nodded as he moved to pull his T-shirt off.
"Probably, yes," Lara nodded. She leaned up a little bit and kissed him back before walking over the the jacuzzi. "We could have our own little jail," she suggested as she pushed down her pajama pants. "To punish the unworthy. We could try to get Patience to cross our border, and then arrest her on some bizarre charge, like 'Being Patience Hawthorne' and then put her in our jail."
Stone smirked a little. "We could indeed do that." He nodded as he headed for the tall cabinet to grab an armful of towels for drying off later and for makeshift pillows. "If we're not too busy growing...fruit trees or something." He went to the back of the door and grabbed the robes as well so that he could put them near the jacuzzi for when they eventually climbed out. He set it all on the floor next to the jacuzzi and then turned off the water since it was just finishing filling. He'd made it hot enough that there was steam coming off the water - see he cared! He reached over to the button panel in the corner and clicked the button for the jets and then clicked a few buttons to set the temperature so it would stay at a certain degree without having to refill it. Once that was done, he stood up to pull off his bathing suit, taking his phone out before he tossed them to the floor so he could set that next to the jacuzzi too.
"The growth of fruit trees takes a lot of dedication," she nodded and tossed her pants down in the corner. "And think of all the pies I could bake with all the trees that we plant." She pulled off her bathing suit bottom and tossed that too, followed by her t-shirt. It was fantastic that who-knew-how-many strangers now knew what she looked like half-naked. It was a good thing she was the less-famous of the Follethornes, so hopefully fewer people would care. She climbed into the tub and made a slight hissing sound when her foot first hit the water. It was warm enough that it was totally going to tingle her fingers when she got in. Awesome.
Stone was just about to climb down into the tub when Lara made that hissing sound. "What? Too hot?" He asked. It probably would be for him for at least a bit. He put his legs in and then slid down into one of the corner seats. He was disturbed that there were people ogling pictures of him and a top-half-naked Lara right now. He tried not to frown. "Mmm...pie." he added as he thought about it. He was totally hungry. Maybe he'd throw on a robe and go get them something to drink soon too...see if some food was in the kitchen too maybe.
"Pretty hot," Lara shrugged. "But I'll get used to it in a minute." She sat down in the seat diagonal to Stone's and sunk down until everything below her chin was underwater. It didn't take a whole lot of sinking. "Ah..." she said after a moment. "The ocean is nowhere as warm as this." She reached over to her left to put one of her hands in the stream coming from a jet.
