Who: Iris West and whoever of Team Arrow is about
Where: Queen Residence
When: July 8th
Summary: Given the choice of asking a Bat family member for help, Impulse decided to deal with the problem much more proactively.

New bases didn't just build themselves. Well, maybe they did. Or maybe rich guys gave them for tax breaks or something. Iris didn't really know, and thinking that far ahead into the game was something she was never well suited for. However, the Young Justice fortress was blasted full of holes, and a temporary one needed to be found, at least till it could be fixed, or someone could tell her just what happened instead of being horribly vague and disturbed looking. Stasis sucks.

Iris wasn't above asking the Titans for help, but, her dad was on Titan's East, and while she LIKED everyone on the team, well, ok, Raven kinda scared her, there was something just not quite right about being almost physically thirteen and being on the same team as your dad. HOWEVER, Bart was on Titan's West, and Bart was awesome. The problem being Iris didn't quite ever know how to flag down Bart, so she decided to do the next best thing.

Now she wasn't terribly certain who the team leader was. She knew it WASN'T Bart, because he was above such petty things as leadership and thought on a higher level than his team members. Just like dad did. That however did leave her options to be somewhat limited. Robin was a jerkwad, and no one wants a team leader that's a jerkwad. Superboy was well... She met him on patrol once or twice and he just didn't seem to radiate that leader aura. The only other person she knew on the team was Speedy, but that was ok, cause she knew where she lived.

Stopping outside the Queen residence she looked around and knocked.

Knock Knock.

Hrm, maybe they didn't hear her. A whole 4 seconds had passed and nothing.

Knock Knock Knock.

Geeze. 15 seconds? Is something wrong?

Knock Knock Knock Knock.

A whole 20 more seconds? It must be an emergency. But she wasn't in costume. However she kind of forgot about that and the next knock sounded more like an army of woodpeckers on speed attacking the door.

Mia was determined to spend the day relaxing. She'd been out all night. She figured she deserved a day off so to speak. After all, Connor had opened the youth center. Mia figured she'd get bored later and go down there anyway. So she was still in pyjamas in her newly furnished room when the knocking happened.

Bad guys, just busted in. Good guys called first or whatever. Connor was gone, Ollie was wherever...

So whatever girlscout was selling cookies could just come back later.

Although, that thought made her want Thin Mints.

Instead she burrowed further under her pillow holding it tightly over her head to block out the noise and go back to sleep. That was until it sounding like a spastic woodpecker ready to bust down the door. She sat up, tossed her fingers through her hair and headed down the stairs. "I'm coming! Hold you horses!" She shook her head muttering a couple of curses under her breath.

She opened the door, looking at the girl who had been pounding on the door. "What's wrong?" She asked. It had to be an emergency right?

"Huh? Oh! Hi! Um, I needed advice and uh, well not advice. See thing is, er, I'd ask Bart but Bart's off with dad and you're like the team leader of the Titans thing and uh uh uh.... I'm gunna mess up the secret identity thing out here can I come in or something? I need to ask a favor cause of a bunch of stuff that happened that I don't know what it is and er.... I didn't wake you up, did I?"

Iris blinked with wide eyes and laughed nervously.

	Mia blinked blankly for a moment at the Iris's ramblings. She did step aside though. "Come in." She motioned, stifling a yawn. The door shut behind Iris and Mia motioned for her to follow her into the living room. "I'm not leader of the Teen Titans, though." She said sounding rather confused. "Why do you think that?" "What do you mean you aren't the leader? I mean who is?"

Her cheeks flushed slightly red as she poked her fingers together.

"I mean, its not Bart, he would have told me that, and I mean while I know he COULD do it, sometimes I think its really hard for him to think at normal speeds, I mean sometimes I think its hard for him to slow down to MY speed."

Wrinkling her nose a bit she pondered more.

"Robin is a total jerkface. Who would listen to a jerk of that caliber. He's like Batman, but just small enough that people can still order him to dress like the Jolly Green Giant's jerkface assistant."

"And then there's Superboy, who uh.. I guess he seems okay, but I've only met him a few times, mostly on that boring patrol dad gave me. You know it goes through some towns that have more cows than people, and to be honest, I don't see a cowboy as the leader."

Iris then looked at Mia and nodded, "So, that leaves uh. You. Besides, isn't the Green Arrow like some kind of super genius that isn't a jerk. Like the light side to Batman's grumbly getting people grounded for no good reason's jerkitude?"

Mia was going to calmly explain who was leader, when the girl explained how she'd come to the conclusion that Mia was the one in charge. She was also going to whole heartedly defend her teammates to Iris's assumptions, but something else stuck in Mia's head.

Green Arrow was a super genius? What the hell?

Suddenly Mia couldn't say anything. Instead she started to laugh loudly, clutching her side as she fell unto the couch. Oh it sort of felt good because with all the mess happening with Steph she hadn't laughed in a while.

She waved a hand in front of her face, trying to will herself not to laugh, but giggles kept escaping her, and she wiped under her eye where honest to god tears were forming.

She thought Ollie was a super genius! Just when she thought she had her laughter under control. She burst into a fresh round of laughter.

"He is so not a super genius." She gasped out between laughs.

Iris blinked dumbly, she wasn't quite sure where the joke was, but apparently it was really funny.

"Uh... I don't get it. Lian thought he was, and he knew about that thing for school. But uh, its not really about Mr. Queen. Uh, someone blew up our base, and well, I dunno what happened. But see, I thought maybe Spoiler could use a friend her age, and maybe being around his buddy Robin would be good for Rook. Right?"

Mia finally calmed down, taking a few deep breaths. "So you've been put in charge of finding Young Justice a new base?" She might have sounded a little incredulous there, but just a tad.

She continued on. "Well, I'm not in charge, but I can ask." Although if Mia was honest with herself she wouldn't be surprised if some of the members of Young Justice were wanting to take a major break for a little while.

"Um... Yes. Put in charge. Not told I was incapable of doing it by a jerk. You are completely correct."

Iris let out a bit of a breath.

"Honestly, I'm missing a month. A MONTH! I was in Metropolis, a new Reverse Flash shows up then BLAMO! I'm in Star Labs with some Green Lantern with a stupid pair of goggles and everything is blown up. So its either show them up or uh. You know I never really thought it through."
