Game concept advice?
I am working on two different game concepts and I would love some advice as to which would be more appealing. I do know many good, solid players who would be game for either but I'm looking to see from others which sounds more intriguing/like something that people would want to play in.
I apologize if this writeup is rough but I thought it best to keep it short.
#1: A game based on the TV show Caprica. This would be set around a sci-fi world, taking place on both physical and virtual worlds. Conflicts would arise between rival families, corporations, and gangs. For the most part, it would be centered around one city but players would have the option to travel to other colony worlds for specific storylines.
#2: A X-verse game set in 1963. The concept of this game would be to pull X-characters and play them in a historic setting closer to the original comics themselves. It would be AU so newer characters could be introduced. Original characters would be permitted as well as canon. Characters would be adult and the game would allow players to use the backdrop of the sixties in an AU Marvel universe context (Civil Rights Movement, Kennedy Assassination, Vietnam War, etc). Mutant registration conflicts would play out in the context of that era's events.
So I could use help on determining if either idea #1 or #2 sound interesting. I'm not looking for a commitment to play but rather, just a sense of what people outside those that I know think about each idea. (Even just a "yes" or "no" would be very helpful. *grins*)
