Who: Padma Patil, Morag Macdougal
When: Today
Where: The Leaky Cauldron
Rating: G
Status: Incomplete

Padma had been putting off having lunch with Morag for long enough. She knew part of the reason she was doing so was that she really didn't want to talk about Theodore. Theo Nott, who she had seriously thought she was 'falling' for, and who had all but ignored her since the Battle...just before it, to tell the truth. She didn't want to think about the hurt, so she threw herself into work.

She'd sent Morag an Invitation for lunch at the Leaky; she only hoped that her friend had the time to meet her.

Morag was happy that her and Padma had finally set a date for their lunch. Even though Morag had seen more of Padma since they left school than any of her other friends, still it was always nice to get together with her. Especially since lately they haven't had much time. Both being busy with work and other things that were going on.

Arriving at the Leaky Cauldron, she wasn't sure if Padma had arrived before her or not. Glancing around, she went ahead and ordered herself a drink and continued to scan the room to see if she was already here or to watch the door in case she would be coming in soon.

Padma came through the door of the Leaky not long after, still in her work robes. She came over to where Morag was sitting. "Hi ther," she siad quietly. As much as she wanted to push aside her aprehension, she almost couldn't. "How are you?"

"Padma!" Saying her name with a cheerful tone. A smile grew across her face as she pulled her friend into a hug. "I'm doing fine, how are you?" A part of her wanted to raise her eyes in question, but she knew there was something going on, but Morag would keep her promise to not being it up. Instead she kept her face fairly straight, except for the smile as she made sure Padma had a seat.

"What do you want to drink? It's on me?"

Padma returned Morag's hug, and her smile grew a bit. "I'm fone, busy, but who isn't these days?" She sat herself down next to her friend. "I think...I'll have a gillywater," she said. For some reason, it weemed a much more grown up thing to drink than a butterbeer.

She settled into her seat. "So...how's the training going?"

Morag nodded, turning to the witch she asked for two gillywaters and took out some coins and placed them on the counter. Turning her head back over to Padma she nodded in agreement.

"Everyone seems to be busy these days," she replied thinking about how it's been a while since she's seen some of her other friends. "Oh training is fine, hard work and I'm hoping that they'll just come out and tell me that I'm finished with it. Feels like it's taking forever but I'm sure that's because it does take forever. Even longer for Aurors I reckon."

Padma nodded. "I suppose it's best that I didn't join the Ministry," she said. "I don't think I'd be very well suited for offices or all the training. I was just capable enough for the DA."

She was glad when the wait-witch broght over their gillywaters. "So...besides traingin, is everything else well? How is your family doing?"

"I'm sure you'd be great. Just takes practice and more dedication than I'd like to give I'll tell you that." Morag replied with a small laugh as she took a sip of her gillywater.

"Family is fine. Thomas is still a little disappointed that he won't be going to Hogwarts, but I saved all my books from first year for him anyway so we'll being hiring him a tutor I believe." The girl shrugged, she did feel bad for those new students who won't get to enter Hogwarts just yet. From what Justin said the other day, they still have a lot of work to finish with the school. "Think I might have found my flat, it's about a block away from Diagon Alley too."
