Me, Gaming, Mabinogi + Nexon.net

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I can't access the forums to figure out why I can't log into the game. My account seems to be working enough on the passport site, but the same userid and password that should work for the forums, doesn't.

The customer service support page from http://www.nexon.net or http://passport.nexon.net/ leads to a gibberish broken code page. There is no customer email on the site. A quick google brought me to yahoo.answers where someone answers another person by saying that sometime in late 2007, the company took the customer service email off the site on purpose.

More googling discovers a lot of dissatisfaction with customer service, usually revolving around MapleStory and loss of ID/Passwords aka inability to log in.

The reason I wanted so very much to log into the forums (which I managed once to ask a question and haven't managed to do again in a 24 hr period) is because I can't log onto the game itself. I get the message 'incorrect passowrd error 30006'.

And I know it's not me somehow, because in frustration and desperate to find amusement I looked up more MMORPG's and found FairyLand, downloaded it, activated it, logged in and got half an hour's game time before I got sleepy.

By the end of the day today if I still can't access Mabinogi, I'm removing the program from my system (which I'd done twice already and then reinstalled to see if somehow the problem was -there-) and leaving it off and another company can get my squee, delight, hours of play and likely eventual money.

I'm not even sure why I'm giving them more time - maybe it's because they had those lovely videos of game play which helped me feel part of the story and interested in the world before I even sought out a beta key.

But that goodwill is on dregs right now and going dry very, very, fast.

If someone else manages to access the game before the trial runs out today at 9pm (Pacific I believe, but I'm not sure) then more power to you.

Protect your accounts!

Hi, I'm a new member (I'm a long time FFXI player), but I wanted to post this right away so that people are aware.

FFXI players are currently being targeted with a keylogging trojan that appears to have been silently downloaded via an iframe at an FFXI-related website (the current forerunner is somepage.com). As a result, accounts have been stolen (and continue to be) at an unprecedented scale for the past two weeks or so.

I realise stolen accounts are nothing new, but what bothers me is a) the rate at which they're being stolen, and b) that there is evidence that WoW players are also targets. For all I know, so are other games. I wanted to get this out there in case someone on this small list wasn't aware.

Please get informed and double-check your systems!

Apologies for the panic-filled public service announcement. >.>

desperately wanting to see the last of plaync

Does anyone know how to delete a PlayNC.Com Master Account? The account you sign into before you create a trial game account.

I talked myself into signing up to play City of Heroes. But I don't have a serial number. I would now like my personally identifying information off their records but I can't find a way to contact help staff without giving more information. And I can't find a way to delete the account myself.

Intro

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hello all,

I'm late to the party, but I thought I'd post an introduction here anyway, in case anyone wanted to chip in - and I could always use a place on IJ to talk with other like-minded individuals about the games I play.

I am primarily a Guild Wars girl. I have played since October 2005 and it is still by far my favorite MMORPG (CRPG?). Other games I have played at least a little of are WoW, CoH/V, LotR:Online, Tabula Rasa, and EVE Online. Of those, CoH/V and LotR:O were much more up my alley, but I have an allergy to gaming subscriptions. I hear nothing but good things about them, though!

Right now I am investigating Hellgate: London. I just downloaded and played through the demo, and had so much fun with it that I've pre-ordered a copy. I'm hoping I'll love it; I've never invested in a game so early on before.... Was anybody here on the beta? Any expectations/thoughts about this one?

So...please talk to me about

Guild Wars. I've been playing CoX for six months now and while I love it to death, I'm kind of interested in some fantasy gaming as well. So is a friend of mine who prefers the one time payment system over the every month charge you get with WoW or CoX. Mostly it would be the two of us duoing and me doing some soloing.

Any info, suggestions and tips that anyone has would be lovely.

Let's get the convo going.

Okay, people. Let's try to get the convo going here..

What's your favorite MMORPG and why?

Here's your chance to pimp your favorite game. Tell us all why it's the best game on the interwebs.

ETA: I'd have to say that my favorite is WoW. I play WoW and City of Heroes/Villains.. They both have their benefits, but the fact that City of Heroes/Villains runs so slowly on my machine keeps WoW in first place. I definitely miss being part of a supergroup with WoW, though. I have a couple of guilds I have characters in, but they're both pretty quiet. :/

Hey everyone. I thought I'd post a quick introduction since I'm the asylum head or something like that. *laughs*

I'm a 30 year old casual gamer. I play World of Warcraft (Argent Dawn on the EU servers), and City of Heroes/City of Villains (Virtue server) regularly. I've played Ragarnok Online on a private server, Eudemons Online (a beta game), Kingdom of Loathing, and tried Second Life. But I couldn't really get into any of those for the long-term.

Basically, this community is gonna be for the discussion of MMORPGs as a whole. You can ask questions about the games you play, ask about the newest game that's coming out, talk about your experiences with games, PvP vs. PvE, and so on. Basically anything goes, as long as you keep the discussion civil.

I'm going to definitely press the civility of the discussions here. I know people sometimes get very angry if their favorite game is dissed, but I do not want to see flame wars breaking out here.

Anyway, enjoy your stay and feel free to contribute to the discussion as much as you want. :)
