I'm making this post to clear up some apparent confusion/questions about the whole "Advanced Group Power Training" as some people don't seem aware of what is it or why Emma's mentioning it.
I know a lot of characters weren't around when the initial idea came around (Paige, Rahne, Hisako, Santos, etc) so I'd like to gage interest of people who'd like their character to be involved with future activities. First of all, it's not mandatory. At all. Just like joining the Junior X-Men isn't mandatory. Emma first established the group in December (I think? It may have been even earlier), via an e-mail she sent out. And primarily, the purpose of it in AOM was to give some of the younger mutants (and Junior X-Men) a chance to use their powers and to interact with one another outside of the general school-related stuff. Build teamwork, practice with fun mutant powers, go on 'training' missions, etc (like stuff in the Field Day arc of the current New X-Men). Emma would say it is to prepare them to use their powers responsibly and reliably - but it also gives the kids something to do in their downtime. Jan's been bugging me forever to get them more active and now that I am off hiatus, I think it'd be really fun to do some stuff with them.
That being said - In the next two weeks or so (after prom/finals/etc), we're planning a group training exercise for the students. Like I said, not mandatory for your character to be the thread, just a group activity for the kids/teens/Juniors to engage in. But if you would like to come play with us, let me know!
