Who: Itsuki and Whoever wants to join him. Someone please find him. Anyone
When: Now
Why: Because the poor boy just landed in a magical world and he needs someone to give him soup and a hug.
Where: Budehuc
Itsuki had fallen asleep last night curled next to his brother, stretched out, sticking to the tatami mats and slicked with sweat from the hot and humid summer weather. Summer was always the most unpleasant season to Itsuki. He felt weak and hungry from the week of purification. Standing in the cold waterfalls of the mountain caves should have been refreshing, but after a few minutes, even in the summer heat, the cold mountain water was simply numbing.
But at least, unlike Mitsuki, forced to fast, he had been allowed to eat, however sparingly, and drink.
He woke up to sunlight on his face and touched by a breeze, not to incense and the paper filtered sunlight of the room’s window. He sat up, squinting slightly as he looked around and feeling some balanced combination of fear and exhilaration.
This wasn’t the Futago house where he and his brother had been undergoing purification. This wasn’t his own house with his sister or their servants, and this wasn’t his village.
Itsuki knew stories, of the west, of the large cities of Japan… He had spent time researching where he and Mitsuki and the Amakura twins would go once they escaped their duty to guard his village. Looking up at the large stone castle, he knew this wasn’t Minakami Village or anywhere in Japan. Everything about it, even the air was wrong. He would have cried with joy at being gone, but he was missing three people and couldn’t properly feel the joy of it. Instead, dread was filling him. Mitsuki.. Sae.. Yae. Were they somewhere? Worse still, were they still back in the village? He and Mitsuki were supposed to the ceremony tonight...
Itsuki picked himself up and brushed off the worse of the grass from his clothing, straightening them as best he could. Frowning, feeling panicked but keeping it firmly in check, he ran through his mind, trying to figure out what it was he needed to do first. Think of a plan. He was half of the Crimson Twins and Oldest Son of the Tachibana house. Panicking was not acceptable.
