Just think! It's exactly one month until the wedding! I'm so excited.

What all isn't accounted for? We've gotten most of the RSVPs, so the caterer is just waiting for a headcount, I think. My assistants know what to do for the cake--I've got everything for it on a special reserve. All the dresses and suits and everything are taken care of... I'm pretty sure the florist has everything ready except the arrival of the flowers themselves... The sites are reserved, the officiator has us down...

Is there anything we're missing?

So, one week ago, I came in here as Nate. I've gathered some knowledge since then, so now I'm supposedly Eros, god of erotic love and la-dee-da. Sad to say, I don't remember much--well, anything. I figured I best get up to speed on the people I used to know, I guess. So, uhmm, I'm just in NY, if anyone wants to play a round of "guess that god" with me. There'll be drinks, of course--mostly, for my sake.

This is my first real Mother's Day, and I do hope I'll get to see you for at least part of it. Meanwhile, know that your mother is here for you and that you are loved, dear boy. ♥

[The first thing visible is Tanner's smile, as he's a little too close to the camera, still trying to adjust it as it blinks on. He bites his lip for a moment, looking for the little light indicating that it is indeed on, and once he finds it, he gently settles himself back into his computer chair.]

Hi. [He smiles, shyly. His face overtaken with a hint of pink.] I'm Tanner. You might know me as...[He stops, and worries his lip between his teeth a little, looking decently self conscious by now.] Ganymede.

I've looked through the other posts here and some of them are really-[He stops again, and just shakes his head.] Um. But...I think I kind of get the gist of this place? I'm not sure. [He shrugs.] But I figured I'd make a video post, because I...don't think I'd know how to introduce myself just typing. [There's a bit of a giggle.] It doesn't...carry tone well, you know? And I wanted to be friendly.

So, hi! [He waves, and smiles brightly at the camera, before winking, and cutting the feed.]

Okay, I think I can handle this. I'm a lot more in-control than I was before March.

But, one of the things I used to be able to do is astrology. You know, reading horoscopes and the fates of nations in the stars. This is really, really embarrassing given what I do now.

Anyway, I know who on the Greek pantheon could see the future, but my mythology is weak, and we didn't really go to church either when I was a kid, so I have no clue if any of you are prophets. Maybe, we could try working together.

I should be free to travel, now that the semester's over and I have all my grading done. If all else fails, there's always Skype.

It sounds really silly, but maybe we can find out something that would suggest a solution.

Wonderful. Just when I thought that they were going to try and get back to important issues... A bill is being proposed now that would require all of us to register ourselves as godlings. With our names, addresses, and powers. So the entire world would know who we are, where we live and what we can do.

Well, this is certainly not how I saw my day going. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a joke, but when it hinders my job it becomes..irritating. So could someone kindly explain what is going on here?
