Nothing hardly felt real anymore, no matter how many times Keely been pitching herself all week long to remind herself that she was infact in some form of bitter reality. The days passed by and Keely herself felt like she had not moved at all during the whole process. From arranging so many different things Keely hardly ever pictured herself doing. Both of her parents were fairly young, her mother Never was only 49 and Oisin was barely 57. Keely had always imagined her parents living until old age, they always had look young for their ages and neither one of them looked like grandparents are traditionally are suppose to look like. It was something Keely joked about with her mother after the birth of the first grandchild of the family. Holden's eldest Libby, and Keely laughted about it again at the birth of her own son Sid.

Her mother Neve had been there at the delivery, holding Keely's hand the entire time and it made Keely felt strong and safe during one of the hardest moments in her life. This time her mother wasn't there to hold her hand. A lot of people came to the services to show their respects, the media had a field day with this latest tragedy to happen to mutants. Keely couldn't recall a single thing she did during the whole process. Even though she was there, and must of seem to be there to others, Keely just wiped it from her mind the moment it was over.

That morning Keely had spent at the brownstone her parents owned in Brooklyn Heights. When the family moved from Ithaca to the city, her parents could afford to live where ever they wanted but her father loved Brooklyn and found the perfect size home for their family in Brooklyn Heights. Keely's mother was extremely proud of her home, so Keely and her sisters cleaned the home from top to bottom. It felt good at the time, that afternoon they buried their parents, afterwards everyone stopped by the house to mingle and offer comfort for the thirteen orphans. Only twelve of them were present, Keely's brother Cory had been missing for ten years...possibly more. He ranaway at the age of sixteen, and Keely knew a single day had not passed since their mother would occasionally look hopefully at the phone or front door expecting a phone call or for Cory to simply walk through the same doors as if he just left them.

Now most of the guest had left, leaving Keely quite exhausted but still kept herself busy. Keeping her mother's home clean. She sent her younger siblings off to bed when the time came and Sid was sleeping in a room upstairs as well. Only a handful of people remained at the house not including her siblings, Keely didn't mind these people. Some of them were friends of her brothers and sisters, like Holden's bandmates.

After keeping herself busy, Keely started to realize there was nothing left to pick up or clean up. Everything was impossibly neat and orderly which forced Keely to stop moving and look around. She felt lost and for some reason found herself sitting at the upright piano in the family room. Neve was never a master, but she did play beautifully and made sure to teach each of her children how to play, at first on her knees as toddlers. Keely loved the feeling of watching her mother play and the smell of her, the warmth of bake goods and her shampoo.

Sitting herself on the bench, Keely opened the keys and started to play.
